Phil Higgins walked up on September 18th, 2020 [from/via/route] Early morning run from Patterdale, Angle Tarn, High Street, Thornthwaite Crag, Stoneycove Pike to Kirkstone. [with] Running with Steve Brown [weather] Dry, bright sunshine. Started with a temperature inversion. Brilliant blue skies above the cloud. - Running. 15.53km. 2:17:38 moving time. Finished by 11.30am.
Clare Tait climbed on August 30th, 2020 [from/via/route] From Mardale Head car park. Across head of reservoir along ridge to HighSt top. Then Mardale lll Bell, Harter Fell and return via Gatesgarth Pass. [with] Charlie [weather] Bright sunshine, however cooler than recent weeks. - Well worth the hours of driving to do this in a day. A good route with beautiful views from the summit of High Street. Lots of friendly walkers out. A good way to bag #50 Wainwright!

There was snow and ice on the fells but the real challenge came from the wind. Myself and other walkers that I met were finding it difficult to stand upright. I have visited this peak three times since; 12.4.07, 9.2.08 and in glorious sunshine 24.5.10. Climbed again with jenny from Mardale Head 7.9.19

Richard Marchant scaled during August, 1989 [from/via/route] This was a two day trip with an overnight camp on top of High Street. The route took me from Penrith along High Street the old Roman Road to Windermere via the following Wainwrights. Loadpot Hill, Whether Hill, High Raise, Rampsgill Head, High Street, Thornthwaite Crag, Froswick, Ill Bell, Yoke and Sour Howes. [with] On my own for this trip [weather] Dry and fine weather but extremely windy overnight to a point that I thought my tent was going to be blown away, but alas it survived.

Kevin Foster climbed on April 28th, 2019 [from/via/route] Continuation of Kentmere Round from Froswick. [with] Henry. [weather] Clouds but with sunny breaks and clear visibility. Very warm when the sun was out. - As you ascend from the col towards the prominent cairn of Thornthwaite Crag , the main path splits into three. Take the fainter middle path over the slight rise to a boggy depression. Could be confusing in mist. Once the wall is joined just follow it to the broad grassy summit of High Street. The views are great, particularly of the Helvellyn- Fairfield range.
Elaine Evans bagged on April 8th, 2019 [from/via/route] From Mardale Head, up to High Street via Blea Water, across to Mardale Ill Bell, down to Nan Bield Pass, up to Harter Fell, retraced our steps to Nan Bield then descended via Small Water. [with] Sue and Christine [weather] Dry but low cloud on tops. - Success at second attempt - previously had to turn back due to strong gusts of wind. Visibility restricted due to low cloud, otherwise a very good day. Lunch with a view at shelter at Nan Bield.

Visibility was about 40 m on the ridge and the wind was blowing hard at times. - Met two miserable walkers at the Shelter who advised us not to go on top but the wind died down by High street.

[weather] Very hot and sunny. - Took 6 hours in total. Hawewater was 50% full (or emply) flooded lanes were visible below the water. Very peaceful at Caspel Gate, incredible views down to Blea Water. It was windy on the top, had to take a photo of a Brummie plus wife waving an England flag - oh joy. Note next time do circular walk taking in Ill Bell and Harter Fell.
