I have visited this peak several times since; 12.4.07, 9.2.08 & in glorious sunshine 24.5.10. Climbed again with Jenny from Mardale Head 7.9.19. Climbed as an extension to the Kentmere Horseshoe on 6.3.22 & after climbing Gray Crag on 20.04.22.

Had lunch behind wall. This is furthest point from car & had completed 6 miles to this point. [with] With Freya Gray, Jazz and Mya. [weather] Forcast predicted 3 degrees on top. It was a lot colder than that with cutting icy winds on ridge, hail on High Street & Nan Biled Pass into Kentmere. When sun was out you could feel the warmth in it. Sunny & warm with a cool breeze on ridges

A good route with beautiful views from the summit of High Street. Lots of friendly walkers out. A good way to bag #50 Wainwright!

[with] On my own for this trip [weather] Dry & fine weather but extremely windy overnight to a point that I thought my tent was going to be blown away, but alas it survived.

Very warm when the sun was out. - As you ascend from the col towards the prominent cairn of Thornthwaite Crag , the main path splits into three. Take the fainter middle path over the slight rise to a boggy depression. Could be confusing in mist. Once the wall is joined just follow it to the broad grassy summit of High Street. The views are great, particularly of the Helvellyn- Fairfield range.

Visibility restricted due to low cloud, otherwise a very good day. Lunch with a view at shelter at Nan Bield.

Visibility was about 40 m on the ridge & the wind was blowing hard at times. - Met two miserable walkers at the Shelter who advised us not to go on top but the wind died down by High street.

It was windy on the top, had to take a photo of a Brummie plus wife waving an England flag - oh joy. Note next time do circular walk taking in Ill Bell & Harter Fell.
