I have climbed it many times since; October 93, March 04, & 5.4.07. My next visit was coming down off my final Wainwright a walk that I chose especially because it ended with my 'first' fell. Climbed again in February 2019 while Peter was at Allen Banks. On 19.6.25 I chose Helm Crag as the first fell after having a hip replacement. Repeated walk c294 solo on 14.07.2022

A decieving walk really as firstly it is quite flat out from Grasmere & then ascends quite steeply. However there are a few view points on the way up to rest & take in the views which are amazing. At the top there are a few craggy bits up to the "lion & lamb" & then a short craggy stroll over to the "howitzer" Not being a seasoned fell walker yet, I didnt quite manage the top of this , but hey whats a few feet when you see the surrounding fells. Incidently the howitzer isnt as easy as it looks ( maybe next time ) We would do this walk again for sure. All in all a good day which we would recommend. Happy walking all :-)
