Points of Interest/Notes on this walk:

The Snowdon Mountain Railway is the only rack railway in Great Britain. It was opened in April 1896 and has been ferrying people to the summit of Snowdon ever since. To date, the Snowdon Mountain Railway has suffered only one fatality.On the day it opened one of the engines briefly lost control near the summit, tempting a passenger to leap from the train. He died from injuries.

Moel Eilio (Llanberis) is also known as a Welsh Nuttall (73rd in Wales, 175th in England & Wales). Moel Eilio (Llanberis) is classified as a Marilyn (28th highest in Wales, 533rd highest in the UK).

Completing this walk also take you to the top of Moel Cynghorion, 674m (2212ft). Moel Cynghorion is classified as a Welsh Mountain (Hewitt) (84th highest in Wales, 206th highest in England & Wales) and a Wainwright (No. ). Moel Cynghorion is also known as a Welsh Nuttall (112th in Wales, 274th in England & Wales). Moel Cynghorion is classified as a Marilyn (38th highest in Wales, 640th highest in the UK).

You will also reach the summit of Foel Gron, 629m (2064ft). Foel Gron is classified as a Welsh Mountain (Hewitt) (116th highest in Wales, 277th highest in England & Wales) and a Wainwright (No. ). Foel Gron is also known as a Welsh Nuttall (161st in Wales, 379th in England & Wales).

Along the way you will also bag Foel Goch (Snowdon), 605m (1985ft) - a Welsh Dewey (7th in Wal, 12th Eng & Wal).
