John Bryers has summited Watson's Dodd [from/via/route] Parked at Smaithwaite bridge walked ridge to top of High Rigg, down into St Johns church and across road up old coach road, through old quarry onto fell and up to top of Clough Head and along ridge to top of Great Dodd. Very, very windy and in cloud. Stopped in shelter, south of summit for a quick lunch and on to cairn that is Watsons Dodd. [with] With Mya my faithful 11 year old Patterdale Terrier. [weather] Started out OK, but soon wind and rain became the norm! Ended up wet through after completing the St Johns Vale skyline
