Other walkers who hiked, climbed, bagged and summited White Side Fellow go4awalkers who have already walked, climbed, summited & bagged White Side

Christine Shepherd walked up on June 11th, 2006 [from/via/route] Walked from Glenridding using walk c394 Repeated this walk solo on 15.4.21 on a glorious day. Climbed again before heading for Raise & descending via Sticks Pass on 7.5.22 [with] My daughter Rebecca [weather] Hot & sunny

Richard Marchant climbed on January 20th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked at Glenridding's main car park & headed out of the car park & the road leading to the YHA for a short distance then it was up the Rake & on to Glenridding Dodd. From here it was up Heron Pike & on to Sheffield Pike, across to Hart Side back to Green Side & then Sticks Pass. Up on to Raise then south to White Side & onwards to Lower Man & the summit of Helvellyn. Then down Swirral Edge on to Catstye Cam & then down Glenridding Beck to the car. [with] Solo [weather] A very clear cold frosty day with blue skies all day long.

Paul Talbot-Greaves bagged on July 30th, 2021 [from/via/route] Lay by above Kings head pub on A591 [with] Paul Drury and Andy Bailey [weather] Sat out heavy rain in the morning then set off for walk after lunch. Rain was forecast but it was just cloud & slightly warmer. - Paths petered out & required navigating across steep, rough grass ground.

Damian Doyle hiked on July 23rd, 2021 [from/via/route] Thirlspot Farm [with] Yvonne [weather] Sunny - Bo Weekend Loop from campsite included Helvelyn

Martin Woods summited on June 6th, 2021 [from/via/route] From Patterdale - Birks to Fairfield round to Hellvelyn & down to Glenridding [with] Ackers and Crush [weather] Sun, 22 deegrees v.little breeze

Mark Hazelton conquered on May 2nd, 2021 [from/via/route] Walked from Thirlspot Farm Campsite almost using walk C113, joining the trail of people ascending from Swirls CP at the foot of the steps up to Browncove Crags, then Lower Man, Hellvyllen & back to White Side before dropping over Brown Crags & back to the campsite [with] Family and Pepper and lots of others who had come up from both Swirls CP and along Striding Edge [weather] Overcast bitterly cold spring day

Nicola Parkinson scaled on October 12th, 2019 [from/via/route] From Glenridding [with] Wally's Wacky Walkers [weather] Sunny

Angela Haworth walked up on March 29th, 2006 [from/via/route] Sticks Pass - Brown Crag - Lower Man - Helvellyn - White Side - Raise- Stybarrow Dodd- Watsons Dodd- Sticks Pass [with] companion [weather] Dry

Bay Wan climbed on October 8th, 2020 [from/via/route] Started from Swirl How car park on the A591 [with] Cocoa dog - 9 yrs old & special guest Paul Harper [weather] Sunny, windy, cold & a few showers. - The acsent was ok but had to come back down the same way as couldn't find the downward path from Whiteside so was hard on the knees!

Clare Tait bagged on September 26th, 2020 [from/via/route] Parked at the base of sticks Pass & walked down to Thirlspot. The route we chose along the gill was a bad choice. Very boggy & then disappeared. Another better route exists further south. Still, made it up. Not my favourite ascent or top although good views. Carried on as far as Watson's Dodd. [with] Charlie [weather] Sunshine but a very cold wind blasting in our faces most of the way. Everyone in woolly hats today. - No 53 Wainwright!
