I proceeded down to Stybeck Farm along the A591 & ascended High Rigg on the way back to the car. [with] By Myself. [weather] Light Cloud with a light Breeze to start with, then late morning the clouds broke & blessed with Sunny intervals - 6 Wainwrights Bagged today making my total to date climbed to 107 I have reached the halfway point today.

John Bryers has walked up Stybarrow Dodd [from/via/route] Parked at Smaithwaite bridge walked ridge to top of High Rigg, down into St Johns church & across road up old coach road, through old quarry onto fell & up to top of Clough Head & along ridge to top of Great Dodd. Very, very windy & in cloud. Stopped in shelter, south of summit for a quick lunch & on to cairn that is Watsons Dodd & continued to top of Stybarrow Dodd. Homeward bound to Sticks Pass, turning right down into Valley bottom to A591 & back to smaithwaite bridge. [with] With Mya my faithful 11 year old Patterdale Terrier. [weather] Started out OK, but soon wind & rain became the norm! Ended up wet through after completing the St Johns Vale skyline (11.5 mies).
