Other walkers who hiked, climbed, bagged and summited Great Rigg Fellow go4awalkers who have already walked, climbed, summited & bagged Great Rigg

Sarah Moore walked up Great Rigg on December 5th, 2022 [from/via/route] c247 / The Fairfield Horseshoe (from Ambleside) [with] On my own [weather] Beautiful start with a cold edge... turning to icy cold with sleet & minimal visibility between Great Rigg - Fairfield - Hart Crag. - This one scared me. The realisation that if I slipped up at Fairfield then I don't know that I could have waited an hour plus for mountain rescue was very scary. Used the GPS & was proud of myself but major "eeek"

Martin Hartshorne climbed Great Rigg on September 12th, 2022 [with] finley [weather] Low cloud then sunshine to finish

Mr Davison bagged Great Rigg on November 18th, 2017 [from/via/route] Fairfield horseshoe [with] Ian F, Ian F, Mike, Gary, Simon, Martyn, Andy [weather] sunny,

Christine Shepherd hiked Great Rigg during May, 2007 [from/via/route] Walked from Ambleside using Walk c247 'The Fairfield Horseshoe' Did this walk for the fifth time on 19.6.22 [with] Tony Sailes [weather] Sunny at first but cloudy on the summit. - Made other visits to the summit on 30.9.07, 15.8.08, 26.2.12, 25.3.18 & on 30.4.11 when I battled with some of the strongest winds I have ever walked in to reach the summit before giving up 'The horseshoe' & making my way down to Grasmere.

Tony Halliday summited Great Rigg on May 28th, 2022 [from/via/route] Circular walk starting at rydal taking in nab scar heron pike rydal fell great rigg Fairfield hart crag dove crag high pike & low pike known as the fairfield circular or round [with] My boarder terrier jimmy boo and George also my wife sal [weather] The weather was warm start dry sunny no wind but cooler on the summit some clouds - A tough circular roughly 11 miles great views over rydal water & Windermere & surrounding fells a brutal start of 3.5 hours of climbing & equally as brutal 3.5 hours of going down ended with a nice couple of pints & the sun came out in all its glory in the beer garden

Ian Ashton conquered Great Rigg on January 15th, 2022 [with] Solo

Geoff Hand scaled Great Rigg on November 23rd, 2021 [from/via/route] c266 From Fairfield South to Great Rigg. Unfortunately in cloud so couldn't get the full panorama. Got cold in the dip so had to put on coat & gloves! [with] Alone with Tess [weather] cloud coming & going. - Set out from Grasmere & headed for Low Mill Bridge. Followed Tongue Gill then cut across to Seat Sandal. Scurried down to Grisedale Hause & then up to Fairfield where the clouds came in. S to Great Rigg & SW to Stone Arthur. From there back to Grasmere.

Pete George walked up Great Rigg on November 12th, 2021 [from/via/route] Ambleside [with] Roco [weather] Sunny but wet underfoot

Bay Wan climbed Great Rigg on October 12th, 2021 [from/via/route] Parked at the village hall car park in Grasmere. Drizzle for most of the ridge but we almost missed Heron Pike as the 'path' up there was none existent so we ended up walking up the side of the hill on grass - tougher than expected! Descended via Stone Arthur [with] Cocoa dog - 10 yrs + Paul Harper [weather] Drizzle, cloudy on top

Carl Tillotson bagged Great Rigg on August 26th, 2021 [from/via/route] Route 266 [with] June [weather] Sunny, very wind at top of Seat Sandal & Fairfield
