John Bryers walked up on July 8th, 2020 [from/via/route] Used route C226.pdf. Parked on Dunmail Raise lower layby and walked down road to Mill Bridge. Due to erosion sign posts took me on the higher route on the Coast to Coast path, thus missing turn at the 2 footbridges. Walked direct to Grisedale Hause and turned left up to top of Seat Sandal. Back to Grisedale Hause and up zig-zag path to summit of Fairfield. Did not find trig point even with good visibility - Easy onward route to Great Rigg. Continued along ridge to Stone Arthur. [with] With Mya my faithful 13 year old Patterdale Terrier. [weather] Cloudy with some sun. Cooler on the tops. - Lots of walkers on a Wednesday due to covid-19 still about. Layby before Travellers Rest full!
Andrew Johnson climbed on January 8th, 2020 [from/via/route] Grasmere [with] Beth and Ted [weather] Overcast
Christina Lander bagged on October 31st, 2019 [from/via/route] Grasmere - Stone Arthur - Great Rigg - Fairfield - Grisedale Hause - Seat Sandal - Grasmere [with] Dick & Meg [weather] Beautiful, sunny day, windy and chilly
John Almond hiked on May 25th, 2019 [from/via/route] From roadside parking on A591 north of Grasmere Village - Tongue Gill - Grisedale Hause - Fairfield - Great Rigg - STONE ARTHUR - [weather] Overcast but mainly dry - - Wainwright 158
John Tippins summited on October 26th, 2018 [from/via/route] Started at Red Bank Road car park, Grasmere. Route c266 go4awalk.com [with] Solo [weather] Very dramatic sky when I left the cottage - bright sunshine and dark clouds. The sky darkened on the way to Grasmere, then it was blanket cloud, then it started raining, then the sun came out, then it started snowing. It was sunny and bright the rest of the day but the northern wind was bitterly cold - minus 12 with wind chill, so the forecast said.
Liz Sheerin conquered on August 28th, 2015 [from/via/route] Grasmere [with] Neil
Andrew Peate scaled on February 28th, 2019 [from/via/route] From the Swan Hotel [weather] Foggy, no wind - Walked out over Heron Pike and Nab Scar, which were the first I logged on Fairfield Horseshoe with Jack and Harry.
Wayne Baxter walked up on April 27th, 2018 [from/via/route] Swan Hotel up to Stone Arthur and return [with] Sue [weather] Cloudy but dry
