Walked down the front of Blencathra [with] Me & Sheila [weather] No rain. Winds were crazy after Blencathra but we expected that. - We didn't descend as advised off Bowscale Fell as it would have been quite steep & the winds were a distraction. Slightly wrong twice coming down the front of Blencathra instead but we got there

Easy scrambling but just hard enough to make you think a little. The climb gets better the higher you go until you reach the actual summit of Blencathra & end up wanting more. Superb!

Others turned back on the way up. A real sense at certain sections that one slip would lead to disaster. Huge rush once completed. Views from Blencathra summit were stunning.
