[with] My daughter Rebecca [weather] Bright & cold - My daughter, a climber, persuaded my to go over Sharp Edge which I didn't really enjoy. However, I decided to climb Blencathra again by myself using walk c170 on 27.8.10, climbing via Hall's Fell Ridge & loved it. Climbed via Hall's Fell Ridge again 21.9.19 on the only fine day of a week's holiday.Used Scales Fell to climb Blencathra again on 10.8.2021.
Caroline Winter hiked Blencathra or Saddleback (Hallsfell Top) on April 8th, 2017 [from/via/route] Scales Farm to foot of Halls Fell, climbed ridge, scales ridge [with] Andy and Becky [weather] Good visibility, Sunny day-8 degrees - Enjoyable scramble, paragliders having fun in thermals on top, a few on Sharp edge. Refreshing drinks at end of day in Scales Inn, soaking up sun. May 22- camping opposite, so couldn't resist going up. Descended first time of many climbs up here, along her Western flank to the field centre & what a wonderful walk down.

So Mumgrisdale, Souther Fell, Blencathra, Atkinson Pike, Mungrisdale Common, Bannerdale Craggs, Bowscale Fell, back over Tarn Crags Top & Raven Crags. [with] With Tess, and Richard Macilwaine a fell running friend. [weather] Beautiful day, broken cloud, cool at times, 10mph wind. - Spotted a Red Squirrel on at the start, lots of swallows on Blencathra! plenty skylarks & then we saw a hare just as we were returning into Mungrisdale. Busy on Blencathra.
Kate Peacock conquered Blencathra or Saddleback (Hallsfell Top) on April 23rd, 2022 [from/via/route] Dropped off near the pub at Mungrisedale to ascend Souther Fell, nice path up. Walked down the front of Blencathra [with] Me & Sheila [weather] No rain. Winds were crazy after Blencathra but we expected that. - We didn't descend as advised off Bowscale Fell as it would have been quite steep & the winds were a distraction. Slightly wrong twice coming down the front of Blencathra instead but we got there
Tony Halliday scaled Blencathra or Saddleback (Hallsfell Top) on March 18th, 2022 [from/via/route] Circular walk starting at the white horse pub bunkhouse where we stayed taking in Blencathra catgill fell top mungrisdale common & bowscale fell [with] My boarder terrier jimmy boo and George also my wife sal [weather] The weather was cool dry sunny & clear but with a cool wind - Nice circular roughly 12 miles tough start a lot of ups & steep climbs & a gruelling downs tough on legs possibly 4 mile too long great views Blencathra is a great mountain with excellent views on a clear day
