Climbed again by the same route, 16.7.20 Finally did walk c204 in sunshine on 24.5.23 Such much easier when you can see the paths & the ground is dry.

Richard Fulcher climbed it on August 29th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked at Sadgill after negotiating the 5 mile single track road down Longsleddale. The path starts just behind the parking area & we followed it up through a few smaller crags to Grey Crag. We decided to walk across to Harrop Pike & then traversed back across the lower boggy ground & up to Tarn Crag. The descent was easy (NNW) to Brownhowe Bottom & we then followed the Gatescarth Pass track back down to the car, passing some delightful waterfalls along the way. [with] Jen [weather] Overcast grey skies with a light breeze from the East. - Fairly straightforward walk, but tricky to drive to! A good one for August Bank Holiday Monday .. not many people about.

Richard Marchant hiked Tarn Crag (Sleddale) on April 17th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked at Sadgill walked down the road to Stockdale Bridge & followed a path Ne up to Great Howe & Brock Crag. from here I proceeded up to Grey Crag then on to Harrop Pike before turning Westward & on to Tarn Crag. From here I walked across to Banstree then down & up on to Harter Fell. Ridged walked around to Kentmere Pike down to Shipman Knott & eventually back to the car. [with] On my own [weather] Dry Day with Hazy views early doors but did become sunny & clear in the afternoon

Walked around Shipman Knott, Kentmere Pike, Harter Fell sat at Adam Seat then on to Branstree, Tarn Crag & Grey Crag. [with] Vitor [weather] Lovely day, very sunny. Vitor got burnt! My hands got burnt - A fantastic 7hr walk. The first half was a lovely stony clear path. After Haweswater the path disappeared & we had to venture across a bog.

[weather] Sunny with very little breeze making it quite hot for walking. - There is a lot of height to give up & regain between Branstree & Tarn Crag so be warned. But the top itself & the views from it are certainly well worth the effort to climb it even on a hot sunny spring day. Whilst I had my second sandwich break, Henry cooled himself off in the tiny tarn by the ordnance survey tower & came out covered in wet muddy peat afterwards. The couple I met on my way to Grey Crag were very amused when they saw him coming towards them. I told them that he was having a spa treatment day!

[with] Sue and Christine [weather] Very good weather for walking, dry & clear, windy at times. - Very boggy in places but lovely views.
John Bryers has summited [from/via/route] Car to Swindale head & took Old Corpse road. Selside Pike, Branstree, Tarn Crag & Grey Crag. Nipping across to Harrop pike & down Little Mosedale beck back to car. 11.2 miles recorded. Detour via Swindale Force waterfalls - Best waterfalls in the Lake District! [with] With Mya my faithful Patterdale Terrier. [weather] Weather cloudy with occasional showers with some strong cool winds for August! - Lunch at Brunt Tongue wood in Little Mardale valley.
