James Hughes bagged it on June 3rd, 2025 [from/via/route] c325 Sale Fell & Ling Fell from Wythorp Church [weather] Breezy, cloudy, warm in sun. - Interesting walk disrupted by closed road at Pheasant Pub. Started at Pheasant. Meandered up through the forest to exit gate onto Fell. Steep brisk climb up Rivins & then out over to Sale Fell. Interesting top, reminded me of Meal Fell. Dropped down into valley up tree lined road to base of Ling Fell. Took second path on left, marked by cairns to top of Ling Fell. Good views all around. Nice gentle walk back on road to Old Scales farm before skirting Fell & returning to gate into forest. Returned to Pheasant via same route out. Pleasant pint of Fell Walker (Bowness Bay Brewery) in Pheasant.
