Caroline Winter climbed Loadpot Hill on September 4th, 2022 [from/via/route] Moorahill Farm in Bampton, carhullan, Pen End, The Pen, Load Pot [with] Becky [weather] Warm, clear skies, light breeze - Took a long time to get from Penrith due to diversions on motor way & in Bampton. Hoped to park nearer Heltondale, but tracked looked rough, so left car at Moorahill Farm. Wonderful views on top of Helvellyn range & the fells over High Street. Due to late start back tracked & encountered the black horses roaming freely from Pen end. They were displaying threatening behaviour which forced us to get off the track that they were progressing up. Considered later that us wearing sunglasses may have confused the animals, not knowing whether you we were friend or foe
Neil Heywood bagged Loadpot Hill on August 19th, 2022 [from/via/route] How town [with] logan Heywood [weather] Mixed
