Christine Shepherd climbed it during June, 2005 [from/via/route] from Littletown on the descent from Dale Head [with] On my own [weather] Fantastic walking weather. - I have climbed this on three other occasions; as a descent from Dale Head again in July 05 & then as a ascent before climbing Robinson on 1.6.06 & then again as part of the Newland's Horseshoe on 15.9.11. I love the descent to Littletown; it bombards the senses with the colour & smell of the heather & exciting scrambles into the bargain! Climbed for the fifth time after my hip replacement on 24.07.2025 from Littletown. I climbed onto Maiden Moor then High Spy before climbing Dale head & Hindscarth. The descent from Hindscarth seemed a lot longer than I remembered it but was still very beautiful with the heather in full bloom.
