Martin Hartshorne walked up Dale Head (Newlands) on April 25th, 2025 [from/via/route] Chapel bridge [with] finley [weather] Started warm & sunny with a cool breeze then clouded over later
Richard Beardsley climbed Dale Head (Newlands) on April 17th, 2025 [from/via/route] Honister Slate Mine. [with] Myself, Paula, Andy, Dylan, Lara and Daniel. [weather] Nice fine day but cold on the tops - Commenced walk at 1045hrs from the slate mine, car park £5. The route was straight up for just over a mile to its summit pillar, very steep at first & gradually easing off. We then continued to summit Hindscarth, Robinson & high Snockingrigg (Birkett) before descending to Buttermere to catch the bus77 back to the slate mine to collect car for drive home to Carlisle. The total hike took just over 4 hours a thoroughly enjoyable day.
