James Hughes walked up on June 3rd, 2025 [from/via/route] c290 Binsey from Overwater [weather] Breezy, cloudy, warm in sun. - Lovely circular walk including quiet country roads. Brisk climb to Binsey summit after walk from Overwater carpark on road. Good views at top. Descended other side & took path to High Ireby. Road to Ruthwaite before crossing fields & track back towards Overwater. Short road section. Would be a good training run.

Geoff Hand hiked it on March 4th, 2025 [from/via/route] Walk C290 Parked at over water & completed an 8 mile walk including Binsey. Unfortunately I didn't study the map before he walk & set off in the totally wrong direction. Was struggling to navigate for the whole of the walk. Went for a pint in Threlkeld on the way home. Tough walk because of the weather & lack of planning but good company. [with] Richard Macilwaine and John Dooley [weather] Dry but very windy & cold. - amazing views of Helvelyn massive, Coledale, Blencathra with Skiddaw in the background not to mention all the fells to the East of Ullswater. Cracking day!

Richard Marchant summited on April 22nd, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked at Binsey Cottage & walked the road to High Ireby, from here we went west along a Bridleway to the Roman Fort of Caermote. Then we followed a track across Whittas Park up on to Binsey Fell & over back down to the car. [with] With my Pennine Way Buddy and long time friend Ray [weather] Dry Day with Hazy views early doors but did become sunny & clear in the afternoon

[with] Charlie [weather] In amidst three named storms, a beautiful day allowed us to bag Binsey & Dodd. A nice brace of fells. - No. 77 Wainwright. Such a lovely fell to climb in February. Unexpectedly beautiful views.

Rob Barklamb has climbed it - Out there on its own, it's easy to hate Binsey as the Wainwright that taunts you - but it offers great views over to Skiddaw. I was there on a warm hazy day, but the view must be fantastic at sunset on a cold, clear day.

[with] Millie - rest of fellwalkers were climbing Grizedale Pike but as I was doing night climb up Blencathra did something less strenuous. [weather] Absolutely freezing - coldest I can remember. Windchill factor made for uncomfortable walking. - Cloudy & windy - but it did stay dry!!
