I parked the car on the roadside in Elterwater, as the car park was already full. The walk up Lingmoor Fell was a pleasant ramble. A bit like the walk up Loughrigg Fell. After the summit, the continuation to Side Pike was more technical, not least with the lying ice, but also because of the need for a bit of scrambling here & there. I was glad I hadn't brought our dog! Not a soul on top of Side Pike & the most magnificent of panoramic 360 degree views. A very pleasant ramble along the valley on the Cumbria Way back to the car.
