Lucy Perchard climbed Crookstone Knoll (Kinder Scout) on July 24th, 2018 [from/via/route] Up Blackden Brook & along Blackden Edge to the Edale Moor trig, Madwoman's Stones, Crookstone Knoll before droppomg to the Blackley Hey Path down to Upper Ashop [with] Tony [weather] Hot day with sunny spells, glad of the wind once up on the Kinder plateau - Crookstone Knoll has one of the best views of all the walks we'd done previously in the area (Win Hill, Great Ridgeway, Alport Castles, Derwent/Stanage Edge). Couldn't find a recommended path (not marked on OS map) from Upper Ashop towards Blackden Barn so ended up walking back to start along Snake Road (not a great way to end an otherwise fabulous walk)
