Points of Interest/Notes on this walk:

Mynydd Graig Goch was always thought to be 1998ft (609m) high, but in 2008 modern survey techniques established the summit to be 609.75 above mean sea level, reaching the mountain status threshold (2000ft & 100ft of 'prominence') by 15cm (six inches).

Craig Cwm Silyn is also known as a Welsh Nuttall (69th highest in Wales, 166th highest in England & Wales) and a Welsh Marilyn (25th highest in Wales, 514th highest in the UK).

Craig Cwm Silyn means 'Silyn Valley Crag' in Welsh and is pronounced 'crag koom sileen'.

The summit of Craig Cwm Silyn is marked by a stone shelter.

Completing this walk will also take you to the top of Garnedd-goch at 700m (2297ft). Garnedd-goch is also known as a Welsh Nuttall (87th highest in Wales, 220th highest in England & Wales). Garnedd-goch means 'Red Cairn' in Welsh and is pronounced 'ga-neth goch'.

The summit of Garnedd-goch is marked by a derelict Trig Point.

You will also reach the summit of Mynydd Graig Goch at 610m (2000ft). Mynydd Graig Goch is classified as a Welsh Mountain (Hewitt) (136th highest in Wales, 318th highest in England & Wales)

Mynydd Graig Goch is also known as a Welsh Nuttall (188th highest in Wales, 442nd highest in England & Wales).
