Fellow go4awalkers who have already walked, climbed, summited & bagged Stiperstones (Manstone Rock)
Robert Lloyd walked up on September 3rd, 2020 [from/via/route] The Bog [with] Imelda [weather] Cloudy & dry - Track is difficult to walk on due to many large boulders.
Rich Roberts climbed on April 19th, 2019 [from/via/route] SW80K - SW80K Again on the 23rd Aug 2020 with Sarah Wye
Mark Davidson bagged on January 21st, 2004 [with] Alone [weather] Bit grey - but it was January
Samantha Kimber hiked on June 11th, 2016 [from/via/route] Knolls Car Park (grid ref SO369976) [with] Jono, Ellie, Tabby, Jasper [weather] Cloudy with very strong threats of rain. Torrential downpours visible from the summit but we managed to avoid them! - The route is a bit of an ankle breaker & my 4 year old son fell over on the rocky ground several times. The children still enjoyed it though :)
Stephen Reader summited on August 7th, 1994 [from/via/route] Car park [with] Bev & The Fishers
Martyn Howarth conquered on April 11th, 2012 [from/via/route] Gatten Plantation car park, along valley & then up to the ridge at the northern end (Shepherd's Rock). [with] Angela Howarth, Matilda Howarth, Archie Howarth (carried). [weather] Pleasant to start with, but turned half way up with heavy hail (like snow on the ground) as we were on our descent. - Path along ridge treacherous - especially if carrying child in carrier & unable to clearly see one's own feet! Not one to attempt with young children who may need carrying - even for a confident walker with good boots!
Kenneth Mellor scaled during September, 2013 [from/via/route] Snailbeach [weather] Excellent - Very difficult underfoot walking jagged rocks in many places
Paul Smith walked up on May 6th, 2012 [from/via/route] Pennerley [with] Joy Smith [weather] cloudy, outbreaks of sunshine, light snow at the summit ridge - Enjoyable walk, 360 degree views are stunning. the ridge is very rocky & challenging at times.
