In-use Test:

The Regatta Adriana is an attractive looking jacket that certainly kept out the rain and light winds on a number of early Spring walks in North Lancashire.

It's comfortable, fits well and the freedom of movement in shoulder/arm areas is fine. The sleeve length is good - often an issue with me; it has a relatively short length cut.

There are a good selection of pockets both on the outside (two side handwarmer, front upper front - all with water repellant zips) plus two zipped pockets on the inside. Alas the pocket designated as the map pocket (cunningly located on the left hand front behind the zip) is not quite big enough for a folded OS map!

The detachable hood can be adjusted to fit and does offer really quite good protection although the peak could be a little stiffer.

During higher energy periods, I did think that the breathability of the fabric could have been better. (I do tend to 'run hot'.) However, there are pit zips which provided a valuable ventilation option.

My only other gripe was that I did find that the front, main zip was a little 'sticky' at times. However this was only a minor problem.

Buying Advice:

If you're looking for a dedicated walking jacket then you should perhaps consider a longer length jacket - and one that has at least one pocket large enough for an OS map. However if you're looking for a more general purpose, waterproof jacket for some low level walking throughout the Spring and Summer plus more general leisure/travel wear then the Regatta Adriana is a great value, very attractive - looking option.

• Very comfortable to wear. Windproof, waterproof. I love all of Regatta products. I have one jacket that I have owned for years and it still is extremely protective when worn in wet conditions
