The author Thomas Hardy's ashes are buried in Poets Corner in Westminster Abbey - except for his heart which was removed before cremation and interred in Stinsford Churchyard.
There are two Thomas Hardy's associated with Dorset - the famous poet & novelist who wrote 'Far from the Madding Crowd' and Lord Nelson's captain aboard HMS Victory.
