I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Campbeltown, Kintyre

My Message: Hi. I've been mainly walking and occasionally wild camping on my own in Kintyre where I live. But I'm fairly fit, getting fitter, and I would like to do a lot more of that kind of thing all over Scotland mainly. I would prefer company, but haven't been able to find anyone, family, friends, or A.N.Other to do that with locally. My wife likes walking but would struggle with the camping.

Aside from being in Nature, my main passion is music. I'm a performing songwriter. Definitely NOT interested in "more" than walking and companionship. I'm not dependent on conversation, but I have a quirky sense of humour, and am interested in getting a handle on "things"..Life, The Universe, and Everything in between.

A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. If pushed, I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are rather poor at best. I can drive and have a car.

Peak Bagging - where the aim is to climb all the hills or mountains on a particular list such as 'bagging' all the Wainwrights or Munros;
Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
