I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Brighton

My Message: I'm looking for female walking companions aged 50 to 70. At present I prefer short walks of up to 5 miles. I like to walk at a leisurely pace, with occasional stops. I'd like to go on walks in Sussex, Hampshire or the London area, anywhere within 1.5 hours by train from Brighton, where I live.

I'm currently not working and can do most days except Wednesdays. I don't have a car at present.

My other interests are spirituality, creative art, personal development and gardening on my balcony. My personality is sometimes playful and outgoing, and sometimes quiet and thoughtful. Sometimes I like to have a break in conversation and walk together in silence to take in the views. I enjoy taking photos during my walks.

A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive but do not have access to a vehicle.

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .
