I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire
My Message: I am looking for walking friends to do weekday or weekend walks of 10-20 miles with in West Yorkshire or an hour or two's drive away - the Lakes or Peak District are areas i want to get to know better but they are probably weekend trips for me. I enjoy walking in easily accessible or remoter areas.
Currently i try to get out 2-3 times a week. After a year or two though i am getting a bit bored with my own company! Last year I did the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, and Pennine Way during lockdown and post lockdown,
I am a semi retired education consultant. Pretty fit, with ok map/compass skills and very much looking forward to hearing from you.

A bit more about me:
I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops.
I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on.
I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other.
I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good.
I can drive and have a car.
I am also interested in:
- Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
- Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
- Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
- Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
- Photography
Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.
