I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Rugby

My Message: 57 year old single, professional female. Not keen on walking in groups - prefer the company of just one or two others. Things just get straggly in groups don't they? I have had quite a long spell of not walking following both an Achilles then back injury sustained in unrelated unfortunate events, so I'm pleased to be back in my boots! Have car and happy to lift-share or not. Saturdays are often marginally better for me than Sundays but that's not set in stone, or shorter after work walks in lighter evenings. Other interests include travel, cooking, good wine, reading, music (live and local, often folky or indie by preference), cinema. I've recently relocated, and would love to find some like-minded friends who won't mind my graded return to gradually longer walks than I have currently ticked.

My Preferred Walk Grades*: 1:2:3:4:

My Preferred Walk Areas:
The English Midlands; The Heart of England;

A bit more about me:

When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

Send a reply to this fellow walker (Box 200920)
