I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Grantown On Spey

My Message: Happy 2023 to all walking enthusiasts!! I've made a resolution to spend alot more time exploring great landscapes and I hope to find friends to share the experiences. I've enjoyed walking hills and mountains from my early years and I'm now very fortunate to have retired to a beautiful and peaceful location in Scotland. I love the scenery and wildlife of this tranquil part of The Cairngorms. If you would like to share some walking here or further afield then please don't hesitate to get in touch. Happy Hiking!! A bit more about me:

I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
Wild Swimming.

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .
