I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Horncastle

My Message: Hi! I'm on the lookout for a single female walker who fancies some good miles, good laughs, and the occasional attempt at putting the world to rights while halfway up a hill. I'm happy to travel for the right company, and I'll be bringing my lurcher - a gentle, long-legged comedian who firmly believes every walk is her adventure.

I'm thinking we start with a few day walks to see if our pace, humour and snack preferences match. If we find we can get up a hill without wanting to push each other off it, then we can plot some longer routes and maybe even a proper walking getaway. Who knows where the path might lead - but if you like fresh air, muddy boots, and laughing about how the “easy route” was definitely not easy, we'll get along just fine.

A bit more about me:

I love Scrambling & Edges - the more exposure the better. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I like walking with dogs and will bring my own. Even if I say so myself, I consider my map reading & navigation skills to be excellent. I can drive and have a car.

Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
Peak Bagging - where the aim is to climb all the hills or mountains on a particular list such as 'bagging' all the Wainwrights or Munros;
Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
