I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near London

My Message: Hi, John here, I am a really keen walker and looking for a female walking companion to join me for walks of varying distances in the countryside around London and the South East generally including coastal walks and perhaps a trip further afield. It would be good to have a walking day our with a pub lunch and even tea to finish, I am retired and can walk mid-week as well as weekends to suit your own commitments. I do not drive but love travelling by train for walks outside London and the coast. If you are interested in walking with me at any time to suit then I would love to hear from you because on a nice day I just love to grab one of my books with walk routes and head off. I'm a volunteer lock keeper and work one day a week which I love doing. I love London's history and give guided walks and currently writing a book to include my ten favourite walks. A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I don't drive.
