After one & a half hours managed to get off & abandoned Cold Pike to return to car.

[weather] Mixture of clear & some mist. - Started at 8.30 & arrived at 10.30. This is a great walk involving scrambles to get to the top. Had some food in the shelter on the top. Views all round were wonderful. Down to Red Tarn, funny thing met three Brummies who were lost, they thought Red Tarn was Styhead Tarn on the way to Scafell, turned the map over & told them where they were - they fell about laughing.
