Andrew Gayne climbed it on July 14th, 2025 [from/via/route] Tom Gill Car park [with] Becky Gayne [weather] 3rd heatwave of the year, boiling hot & breathless - Had been up Lingmoor Fell the previous day, we had stayed in the Queens Arms pub in Hawkshead - overnight nice spot. Even hotter today. Set off at around 10.30am up Holme Fell & the a lovely walk down & around the quarry coming back through Oxenfell & Arnside before bagging Black Crag. All too hot & hard today. Came back around Tarn Howes. A really pretty & varied walk but needed to be a couple of degrees cooler to appreciate
