Sarah Hamer walked up on September 1st, 2020 [from/via/route] Started out with blue skies and a spring in my step - more rock climbing than the guide would give you an indication of - bagged with Pike of Blisco and Cold Pike [with] Chris Hamer [weather] Started off sunny and 15 degrees - wind at the top which is to be expected but not enough to be an issue - The views from Crinkle Crags were just SPECTACULAR - seeing where we had been and where we were to go. To the coastline and the Isle of Man with views to Windermere.
Wayne Baxter climbed on August 24th, 2020 [from/via/route] From the Three Shire Stone, upto High Teighton How, Red Tarn to Pike of Blisco. Return to Red Tarn, Great Knott and on to complete the Crinkle Grags. Returned to Cold Pike and dropped down to Red Tarn Moss and picked the same path as we started the walk to Three Shire Stone. [with] Sue [weather] Sunny
John Bryers bagged on August 13th, 2020 [from/via/route] Walked up Oxendale through the farm. Continued WSW beside the wall and then bear SW (left) at a fork on a level path to reach the footbridge over Oxendale Beck. Cross the bridge and bear SW up a clear path that eventually bears S beside Browney Gill to reach a junction of paths on the col. Turning left up to peak of Pike O' Blisco. Returning to col and up to Great Crag, skirting around on right to Crinkle Crag (South top) and along ridge to Crinkle Crags (North Top). [with] With Mya my faithful 13 year old Patterdale Terrier. [weather] Very warm day, sweated up to Col, breeze did help and clouded in a touch. - Set off at 7.37am after parking in NT car park at New dungeon Ghyll (£8.00 parking).
Stephen Eddy hiked on June 22nd, 2019 [from/via/route] Old dungeon ghyll [with] Mike Woodhouse, Tony Harris, Martin Bayliss [weather] Sunny
Andy Buxton summited during August, 1968 [from/via/route] From NDG - circuit of Langdale (Pavey Ark via Jack's Rake) [with] Dad [weather] Clear
Richard Banks conquered on March 14th, 2020 [from/via/route] Langdale [weather] Dreadful
Andrew Johnson scaled on February 5th, 2020 [from/via/route] Old DG [with] Ted [weather] Cleared to blue skies at some points, Snow on top with some hail
Elaine Evans walked up on August 29th, 2019 [from/via/route] From Old Dungeon Gill ascended to Bow Fell via The Band and Three Tarns, retraced our steps to Three Tarns then on to Shelter Crags and Crinkle Crags, descended to Red Tarn and back to car park. [with] Sue [weather] Fine, dry and good for walking to start with, strong wind and poor visibility on reaching summit made conditions very difficult. - Didn't see the amazing views we'd heard about. Had the wind got so bad on the way up we would have abandoned our plans and descended but it really caught us out. Lots of people changing their plans due to weather conditions.
Richard Marchant climbed on October 28th, 1993 [from/via/route] This was a walk carried out just by me from New Dungeon Ghyll and took me up Stickle Ghyll to Stickle Tarn up the back on to Langdale Pikes taking in both Pikes and on to Martcrag moor round to Rossett Pike and to Angle Tarn up to Ore Gap-Esk Pike-Bow Fell-Crinkle Crags-Great Knott- Pike of Blisco then back down to New Dungeon Ghyll. [with] On my own. [weather] Wet dull dreary day.
Paul Macey bagged on June 19th, 2019 [from/via/route] Langdale [with] Luke Macey [weather] dry some sun
