Melfyn Parry walked up on June 29th, 2023 [from/via/route] Parked in the park & ride in Nant Peris & caught the bus to Pen y Pass. Followed PYG track to clearly marked junction for Grib Goch. Good scramble route up to the ridge & then along the ridge to the pinnacles. From here we took the path towards Garnedd Ugain, with more scrambling before reaching the trig point. Continued down the path towards Yr Wyddfa & turned left to descend the PYG track to the junction of the Miners Path. Dropped down to Glaslyn on the Miners Path & then continued on this path to Pen y Pass to return by bus to the car park. [with] With 6 members of PRC [weather] Sunny & reasonably warm below summits. Gerald Murphy walked up on September 4th, 2014 [from/via/route] See my notes on Crib y Disgl (Carnedd Ugain) [with] Harry Chadwick [weather] Fine, sunny, dry - Not nearly as bad as I had been led to believe. The ascent to the start of the arete is a bit of a slog but the rfidge itself is just fun. It seemed to me that as long as you keep an eye on what's ahead & what's immediately underfoot it isn't difficult to find your way across safely. Even on the Pinnacles going over the first two directly isn't really a problem - plenty of handholds & footholds. The upwards path round the right of the 3rd is clearly visible from the 2nd Pinnacle. Once your over that it's great to look back. We went ovefr early on a weekday, leaving Pen y Pass at about 7am. No car park problems & nobody else about at all. Just one other walker overtook us at the start of the arete as we had a photo break.
