Kevin Foster walked up on October 8th, 2020 [from/via/route] Poddy Gill (Mosedale). [with] Henry. [weather] Sunny, clouding over later. - The climb up Poddy Gill was a bit of a plod but once the rocky top was reached it was more interesting. The top iitself is enclosed by the ruins of an iron age fort I think. The fine cairn, set on a rocky plinth, gives outstanding views especially northwards towards the Borders, the Solway Firth and the Northern Pennines.
Claire Murray climbed on November 22nd, 2020 [from/via/route] High Pike and Carrock Fell from Fellside Farm [with] Vitor [weather] Cold and damp with a drop of hail - Lovely walk with easy parking at the farm. No sheep on the hills and no leads required! Lots of wet boggy areas to walk through though
Caroline Winter bagged on August 28th, 2020 [from/via/route] Mosedale, Carrock Fell, Round Knott, Milton Hill, High Pike, mine track to Carrock Beck [with] Becky [weather] Light wind. Very good views. Light rain afternoon and low cloud on tops - Parking near Stone Ends farm, enjoyable immediate ascent of Carrock Fell and windy walk over exposed moorland to High Pike to enjoy egg butties in shelter, but as got there windy and downpour so headed down. Tried short cut to ford river lower down but water too high. Walked to road instead. Road flooded causing obstruction to cars
