Points of Interest/Notes on this walk:

The magnificent cliffs at Malham Cove are 70m (230ft) high.

Victoria Cave was (re)discovered in the 1830's. Since then, various archaeological 'digs' have turned up numerous artifacts from both the Iron Age & the Stone Age. A plaque at the cave entrance has more details.

The rusting old pieces of iron below Attermire Scar are in fact the remains of an army firing range target. You can quite clearer see where the shells have pierced the metal!

Limestone Pavement like the top of Malham Cove is comprised of Clints(ridges of rock) and Grykes (the deep fissures).
