Walks on Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 Explorer™ Maps (Orange Covers)
If you already have an Ordnance Survey Explorer™ Map you can find somewhere to go Walking on it by clicking the corresponding square on this interactive walk map.
Long term users of go4awalk.com will be familiar with these unique interactive walking maps where you can mouse over a coloured circle and see the outline of the walk.
Until recently the were constructed with Adobe Flash but from the end of 2020 Adobe Flash is no longer supported by the major browsers (see note at the bottom of this page) and you are recommended to remove Adobe Flash Player from your computer, tablet and mobile phone.
Doing the conversion is a complicated & long winded process though and will take some time to complete.
Maps with an asterisk (*) have already been converted and more areas will appear on the map below as we do them.
The maps covering The Lake District and The Peak Distict are working now and we will be adding more as they are done - with the more popular walking areas the priority.
NB. The orange squares without an asterisk (*) still link to the old Adobe Flash style interactive walk planning maps and can still be used. See the notes at the bottom of this page for help getting them to work on your set up.
To find walks in a other ways please see more options in the left-hand column or click on this link: Walks.
