I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Lichfield And Lincoln hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi. I'm semi retired and live near Lincoln. I love the outdoors and love to spend my time walking, running and even gardening. Anything to be outside. I'm also lucky to have a narrowboat near Lichfield and enjoy chugging along the midlands canals. I do most of my walking on the Lincolnshire Wolds and in the Peak District, but would like to explore more. I have also walked in the Lakes, Wales and Scotland. My partner is not really interested in my love of walking and not that keen on cursing the canals. I do a lot of walking on my own but would enjoy a some company, ideally someone who loves being outdoors like me and who doesn't mind a bit of weather. My work pattern varies so I can be free mid week and weekends too.

My Preferred Walk Grades*: 2:3:4:5:6:7:8:9:

My Preferred Walk Areas:
North East England; North West England; Yorkshire; The English Midlands; Wales; East Anglia; The Heart of England;
(click each link to see other walkers wanting to walk there)

A bit more about me:

I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near Llanfyllin, hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi
I'm Dan 69 years old, semi retired and looking for a walking friend,
Have a P.L.B. but they do not make very good walking companions, I do any kind of walks from short walks published by the R.S.P.B.and other organisations, or cut out of magazines by friends, to 8 to 10 mile circular walks, I don't do national trails or peak bagging,.
I like remote mountain walks and moorland walks, I use off the peg circular walks mostly, but like to plan and research my own walks as well, I like to follow rivers across open moorland to their source My other interests are driving on mountain passes, train trips and visiting museums,.
Dan.

My Message: Hi my name is Anne. I am in my early 60's looking for walking companions for either day/weekend/week walks. I have just retired and have a desire to do a lot more walking and/or tour the UK. I have recently bought an old campervan due to this crazy COVID world! Which will help to keep myself and others safe. I have walked the White Peak Way 90 miles a couple of times which is a lovely walk and a couple of other (flat) long distance walks. Not so keen on camping, prefer B&B, Youth Hostel or similar, what a wimp! I like to go at a steady plod...... short or longer walks. I also enjoy narrowboating with family and friends. I look forward to hearing from you...

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Netley Abbey hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I have quite an active job, so my fitness level is good, I enjoy coastal and country walks, nice to sometimes have a purpose such as a decent walk to a lovey country pub and back making a nice day of it.
Love walking abroad and have travelled to many countries such as Crete, Morocco, Alaska, Kenya, Spain, etc.
It's always nice to be able to have a nice chat along the way, maybe even a picnic lunch I'm always happy to carry the picnic backpack.
I prefer the company of women while walking mainly because it's easier to smile, and I'm not a great football fan. I enjoy wildlife, nature, photography, and travel.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Burnley hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi everyone I'm Chris and would like to meet some new friends to do some walks with me and my black Labrador, Jack :-) I'm fairly easy going, enjoy having a laugh and like nothing better than a nice country pub at the end. I would prefer people who are reasonably physically fit as I usually walk 8 miles plus. I don't mind walking with just one other person or in a group. If we go for a walk in a group I prefer groups of 4 or less as it's easier that way if you have a dog. Previously I've walked up mountains in Scotland, Yorkshire Dales and Lakes and I've just started checking off a few Wainwright's. But happy to go walking anywhere in North West really. I'm ok with map reading, it's fairly easy with right apps on your phone. I work during the week so would prefer weekends really but can give myself the odd day off in the week every now and then if needed. Did the West Highland Way a few years ago and would love to do a few more long distance trails sometime.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near Nottingham hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I live close to the Peak District. I know it really well and love it, but equally love walking in Wales, The Lakes, Yorkshire, Northumbria and other parts too. I first got the walking bug whilst doing a charity walk in Snowdonia in 1998 (Crib Goch at 4 a.m.). I'm happy walking on hilltops and along valleys, canals, rivers and dales as well as mountain tops. I walk to chill and enjoy what's there, not to just race to the end, what would make my day complete though is some good company to share the views, some good conversation (serious or silly), laughter and after walk refreshments. I'm chilled, have a quick wit and great sense of humour. My other interests are landscape photography, art, city breaks and the theatre. If you enjoy your walking and are interested in joining me, get in touch.

I don't really like large group walks, preferring relative solitude!I work full time, often from home, and flexibly, but would mainly be walking at weekends. I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Peak Bagging - where the aim is to climb all the hills or mountains on a particular list such as 'bagging' all the Wainwrights or Munros;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Road Cycling
  • Mountain Biking
  • Trail Running

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Leyland, Lancahire. hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I would like someone to enjoy the outdoors with and have a laugh, just as a friend and to accompany me in the outdoors. It would be good to share my knowledge and experience of the outdoors. I prefer walking or canoeing, I have a Canadian 3 seater canoe. However, I'm up for almost anything. I camp whenever I can, I prefer the fresh air and waking up to beautiful scenery.
I prefer female company so I can relax and unwind, (I work in a male dominated environment which is competitive).
Whether you like long or short distance I'm more than happy to adapt the activities.

I've spent most of my life in the outdoors and need it for the health of body and mind. I've been out every day since the first lockdown, with the exception of having to isolate.
I love to walk the hills, canoe in the lakes and canals and absorb the surroundings. I love camping, hammock, tent and bivi on basic sites or wild camps.
I'm good at navigation, in the past have climbed and caved (SRT). I've walked in most areas of England, Scotland and Wales.I like to be able to view nature, identify, photograph and uses of plants. I love learning and I'm sure you can teach me too. I'm fit and healthy, aches are just you show you still have your limbs attached aren't they?
Until I had covid (beginning of August 21, I'd walked every day since the 1st lockdown. This provided a good fitness level.

My Preferred Walk Grades*: 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8:9:

North West England; Yorkshire; The English Midlands;

A bit more about me:

I love Scrambling & Edges - the more exposure the better. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. Even if I say so myself, I consider my map reading & navigation skills to be excellent. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
  • Canoeing

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 30s, based near East London hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I have very much embraced long distance walking here in the UK since the pandemic hit us.

When I have a spare weekend day, I tend to do a section of the North Downs or South Downs Way. I just completed the SDW.

I recently completed 100km section of the Jurassic Coast over 2 days for charity.

I have Epping Forest literally on my doorstep so if I can't fit a journey in, I can be found very local too.

I'm about to travel to the Lake District for the 3rd time in a year for a walking holiday. I will be solo camping in Great Langdale, walking by day and spending my evenings lapping up the atmosphere and beer/wine at The Old Dungeon Ghyll.

I would love to bag all of the Wainwrights (currently very low in my progress). I am walking Wainwright's Coast to Coast next summer. Walking the Camino is also on the bucket list.

Whilst I do enjoy solo adventures I'd love some company for more adventurous hikes and climbs in the Lake District to build confidence with the higher fells.

I work full-time from home in East London so my walking is on the weekends except when I take a walking holiday.

A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. I'm happy to walk in most weathers but do not like snow and ice. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I don't drive.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Maidenhead hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I'm looking to meet some friendly company to go walking with mainly on weekends due to work commitments and ideally within an hours drive of Maidenhead. I like to walk 5-10 miles at a reasonable pace, but don't want a route march. The perfect walk includes good lighthearted conversation, a coffee break and a pub at the end. I mainly walk the Thames Path and the Chilterns these days, with a bit of the South West Coast Path thrown in when I'm in the area. Happy to consider longer walks further afield when time permits and definitely want to do more of the South West Coast Path.

A bit more about me:

When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Amersham hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Looking for both Female and male walking friends to explore different areas in the UK. I live in Buckinghamshire Chilterns hills and would like to have friends to explore more around here. At the same time would love to explore together other places!!
I have my own car but can drive only around my area. Rely on the train for longer distances.
Visited the peak district last May and very soon going to the lake district.
I'm aiming to improve my hiking skills.

I'm calm and peaceful. Spiritual, but not religious.Not actively looking for anything except a walking companion, unless the right person comes along

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Nantwich hoping to meet just Male new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I have recently re-purchased my old campervan and am planning on bagging all the Bridgets (I think that's what they're called) in the Peak District. I am relatively fit (although would love to lose a few pounds) and have enjoyed walking in the Lakes in the past although I think I have only completed 40 Wainwright's. The Peak District is much closer for me and means I can also do some as a day trip. I have quite a busy life and have a good group of friends but they have their own lives and partners and not always free for walking. I've got two 'adult' children who sometimes live at home (when they need feeding and home comforts). I enjoy stand up comedy, sewing, podcasts, r6, a bit of trashy tv, a pub quiz with friends and all the usual things.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near St Austell hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi I am a 65 year old fit and active male retired and separated, but with a love of the great outdoors.
I am a Capricorn, and hopefully kind, polite and honest, and never drink more than one pint of beer or one glass of wine.
I have done a lot of walking and backpacking in the past, but always alone.
I have spent a lot of time on Dartmoor and once lived close to Bodmin Moor, so spent even more time there.
I now live in Cornwall and very close to a beach which I love and visit every day.
I have walked all the SW Coast Path, and the Cornwall part in both directions. Have completed the Two Moors Way and the Isle of Wight coast path. Most of this was a few years ago but now I am retired I am getting back into it again. I used to cover 20-30 miles a day, but now 10 miles is more realistic.
I am now getting back into backpacking/wild camping and starting on repeating the SWCP in 10 mile sections and exploring Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor all over again. This time hopefully with a like minded partner to share and enjoy it all with.
I also like day walks to beauty spots and interesting places, but not on my own.
I do have a well behaved friendly Border Collie who loves long walks, but she doesn't chat too much.
I need a new partner to be with now, to enjoy life with, and to enjoy all these walks with.
I have met a few people to walk with for a day in walking groups, but no one who is looking for a lifelong relationship.
I need the inspiration and company of a partner so we can be happy wanderers together and share those special moments together.
All I can offer is a life filled with travel, and adventure, hoping that is enough for a fit and active like-minded woman aged 56-69 who also has a love of the great outdoors.
Open to new ideas for even longer walks, plans and adventures.
Would love to share the art of lightweight backpacking and the enjoyment of wild camping with a new partner.
Would be willing to meet for a short walk and a long chat in a cosy pub over a drink or a meal.
Lets have a laugh at the world.
Laurence

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Brighton hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I'm looking for walking companions of any age or gender. At present I prefer walks of 5-10 miles per day. I'm moderately fit and like to walk at a leisurely pace, with occasional stops. I like a lunch stop at a pub, but this isn't essential. I'd like to do more walking on the South Downs Way & the South West Coast Path, either day walks or walking holidays. I've done a lot of walking in Sussex & around the London area, mostly day walks. Have been on walking holidays in Devon, Wales & the Lake District.

I'm not working currently & can do most days except some Saturdays. I usually travel from Brighton by train & don't have a car at present. My other interests are spirituality, personal development, cinema & gardening on my balcony. My personality is sometimes playful & outgoing, & sometimes quiet & thoughtful. Sometimes I like to have a break in conversation & walk together in silence to take in the views. I enjoy taking photos during my walks.
