I've had some great walks over Dartmoor and just starting to explore the Brecon Beacons and looking to have a go at walking the Bob Graham round some time too. I come from Surrey, so when i get a chance i'm out in the Surrey Hills taking in the beautiful scenery and trying to stay out of all the pubs.

My Message: Hi, I'm Kevan and I live in Suffolk. I am now able walk long weekends and school holidays. I am keen to return to activities of my more youthful days, especially wild camping, although hostels are fine too. I'd also like to swim in streams and lakes in remote places as well! I'm looking to walk in Wales, Scotland and the north of England. A trip to Switzerland, Germany or Austria is also on the agenda. My children are grown up and my partner is not very keen on longer hikes.

My Message: Hello, I'm planning to walk the Coast to Coast route over 2 weeks starting from St Bees sometime between May 9-12. If you are interested in joining me to do part or all of this walk, please get in touch and I look forward to hearing from you.


I'm a keen Long Distance Path walker interested in walking more of the UK's LDP's with anybody keen to join me to walk as a pair, either for single days or longer sections. Prefer one to one interaction rather than being in a group, equally able to provide stimulating conversation or remain silent as and when appropriate, like to cover some reasonable ground, but not at the expense of taking in the scenery and enjoying the time and space walking gives you to think, as well as the euphoria of a well earned drink and meal at the end of the day.

I have walked Hadrian's Wall Path, the Camino Frances route of the Camino Santiago from St Jean to Santiago and Finisterre/Muxia, and the Annapurna Base Camp trek in Nepal. I live local to the South Downs Way and am keen to complete the western half of this from Amberley to Winchester, either in one day or longer sections and at anytime forward.

Intending to walk the C2C path (St. Bees-Scarborough) and the West Highland Way/Ben Nevis/Great Glen Way (Glasgow-Fort William-Inverness) next Spring (April/May/June 2013) and keen to hear from anybody interested in these two routes, or indeed any other walks you are interested in doing and would like a walking partner; happy to travel anywhere in UK by car or train.

My Message: Hi My name's Angie and I'm looking for a male to accompany me on my walks. I'm fairly fit, hoping to do some good long distance walks and looking for someone to introduce me to the excitement of hillwalking and getting off the beaten track - I don't really have navigation skills yet but am keen to learn. My Message: Hi, I am Graeme, a 44 year old male from Windermere, looking for female walking partners of similar age, and a love of walking the Lake District fells as well as other areas. I am young at heart, resonably fit (like to think so anyway), and also enjoy running and open water swimming. I am a Male Walker, in my early 70s, based near Palmers Green.

My Message: Hello I am a weekend rambler (10 to 12 miles usually) and occasional long distance trail walker. I'm interested in exploring new areas as well as the Home Counties where I sometimes lead walks for a club. I am quite fit for my age and trying to remain so. I live in a North London suburb with my daughter. I worked until recently; now semi-retired, I have more time for walking and would like to have a companion on some of the reconnaissance walks I do. Several of my long-established friends have moved away, hence this appeal. Two drawbacks to note: (a) I don't drive and (b) I'm active in Labour and Co-operative politics (though I don't go on about it). I've recently taken up urban as well as country walking, linking with architectural interests. I do voluntary work as trustee of a countryside conservation organisation and an historic house trust in addition to some neighbourhood commitments in north London.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 40s, based near Halesworth.

My Message: Hello I live in Halesworth Suffolk I am 42 and looking for a female walking partner. I like walking but often find myself to busy and when I have time my husband and children are not interested in joining me. I wish to break this cycle and go on regular walks with someone who wants to be there too. I am happy traveling to walks and happy to drive.

I am not hugely fit which is why I want to get back into walking, I am not keen on walking in the rain. I to love walking anywhere and even better with good company but not to challenging. Walk grades of 1, 2, 3 will do me at the moment until I get back into things. My Message: Hi Folks: My name is Kev, i live near Kings Lynn in that well known mountaineering county of Norfolk! I am an experienced hill walker, Ex RAF, so not bad at Navigation.
I am a bit of a 'Munroist' and have now climbed over 70 of these large Scottish mountains. I regularly walk in Snowdonia and try to get up to Scotland at least twice a year.
