I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Nantwich.

My Message: Hi everyone. My name is Andrew and I am 51 years old and live in Nantwich. I am new to this site, however, I have been interested in walking since I was able to walk. I have done a few challenges in my life like walking across Scotland in a week from East to West, the Welsh 3000s, walked around the Lake District but nothing else. I am not afraid of going up the hills or down in the valley, its going for a walk in the great outdoors. I would be interested in joining up with someone to enjoy the walks and if the dogs come too then a bonus, so who is out there? Are you interested? I look forward to hearing from anyone who would like to know more.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Haverfordwest.

My Message: Hello 58 year old single man seeks female companion for walks, exploring and good pub lunches/dinners. Medium fitness level 5 - 8 miles is enough with plenty of time to stand and stare. I have reasonable map skills and good supply of O/S maps. I live in Pembrokeshire and my job is shift based that offers a good deal of time off at varying times of the week, I am mobile and will travel to other areas and am able to offer accommodation in my 4 bed house. Would be happy to answer any questions about myself before meeting. Huw

I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near London.

My Message: Hi, male walker 68 from the London area. Like walking in Derbyshire as a preference as it is an easy drive from London but Yorkshire is good as are the Brecons. I normally camp as I have a 3 1/2 year old black Labrador so BandBs are not always an option. Have done the likes of Hadrian's Wall, Yorkshire 3 peaks, North Downs and the Brecons in the past but 10/15 miles a day are enough nowadays, especially with the dog. Will be visiting Derbyshire in May and normally stay in Hope and would not mind finding a companion to spend a day or so with. Sorry, but not sure how to attach a photo!!

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Southport.

My Message: I enjoy walking most weekends in Wales and the Lakes and the rest of the North West in summer, and further afield on holiday.
In winter I like walking abroad. Map reading is not a strong point so normally walk with groups or friends and have walked parts of several of the long distance footpaths, particularly enjoyed the Wales Coastsl path as well as quite a few Wainwrights.

I enjoy urban walks too and would like to meet someone whose map reading skills are better than mine and shares my passion for the great outdoors.
Other passions include travelling, 80s music, theatre, foreign cinema, cake, chocolate and languages.
I am based in Merseyside and happy to meet for a day walk in the area or further afield.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Basildon.

My Message: Hi, I'm Neville. I'm 50 and live in Essex. I still work full time but as it's a shift pattern I get a lot of time off, esp during the week and from 1st September to 31st March have every other week off. This year 2017 I've been to the Lake District and the Peak District twice. I don't mind travelling but if going to the Lakes, about 6 hours for me then like a few days walking. I'm looking for someone to walk with, local to me for local walks or meet somewhere if travelling. I have a campervan which sleeps two in comfort and an awning for more, all comforts supplied as at my age now sleeping in a wet tent on the floor doesn't appeal to me lol!!, If interested in a walking partner in Essex or meets around the UK let me know. Take care and enjoy yr walking, Nev

My Message: Single with time on my hands. New to walking and would love to meet some like minded people and hopefully make some new friends who like to have fun and not take life too seriously! Male or female. A long(ish) walk, fresh air, sandwiches with lashings and lashings of ginger beer, followed by a glass of wine (possibly!!) and a good meal and some fun conversation and witty repartee!

looking forward to hearing from you- wherever you are.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Malton.

My Message: Hi, Out of practice walker looking for someone to help me get a bit fitter. Having been dog free for a few years I could easily slip into couch potato mode, I did have some encouragement to get out there but am rapidly slipping back into the mire! I can walk around 6-7 miles no problem and up to 10 on a good day.I have walked quite a lot in the Dales in the past and more recently on the Wolds. I like to enjoy the scenery, take photos etc and a walk with a pub at the end is always better! Im looking for male or female walking companions, initially to walk fairly locally but hopefully maybe have weekends away later. I have my own transport, Im quite chatty and enjoy a good laugh, I don't have any objection to dog owners. I will reply to all messages. Hope to meet new friends soon.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Lincoln.

My Message: I am a stroller/rambler more than a hiker, I guess; just love to be outdoors and 'wandering' the dales, fens, lakes, seashore... all of our great countryside. It would be lovely to have a walking friend, male or female, to wander with. Dogs are very welcome... I am normally accompanied by an elderly but active Chihuahua (hope that doesn't put folk off!). Love North Norfolk, Yorkshire Dales and Moors, Lake District, Rutland and where I live - Lincolnshire. Hope to hear from you...

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Leeds.

My Message: Hi i would like to meet someone male or female to walk with, I am Liz I started walk just over a year ago after the death of my husband 4 years ago, I have found that I love the Freedom and sense of achievement you gain from a tough walk. I have two mini dachshunds Millie and Ella they are good for 10 miles a bit like me ( we did Whernside at the back end of last year ) it nearly killed me but now I am hooked and want to do the three peaks not in 12 hours, 12 months would be fine lol
Nothing too strenuous as I have dodgy knees but I am more than willing to have a go. My ideal would have a pub or a tearoom at the end of it. I just want to get fitter and enjoy our beautiful countryside
I work part time so midweek is ok thanks for looking Liz ps I will get my boots ready and#128094;

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Cirencester.

My Message: Hi I'm Karen. I'm single and now that I am retired I have a lot more time to go walking just for an afternoon or a day (week days and weekends) or for weeks.

I'd like to meet up with other walkers to continue to do the SW Coast Path (I have done form Poole to nearly Plymouth and am happy to do other bits in any order), Offa's Dyke, the Coast to Coast or West Highland Way from 2017 onwards.

I've walked the Thames Path from my home as I live on the Wiltshire / Gloucestershire borders, as well as most of my local walks and many more all over the UK - on my own and many in groups; always much more fun and interesting. I have a car and am happy to travel and go for walks all over the UK and abroad; I will tackle hills; have done Snowdon and other fairly high spots like the Jurassic Coast but my knees now really prefer fewer or shorter or less steep climbs. I love watching for wildlife along the way and would love to share the scenery and enjoyment with male or female friends. Its great to have a bit of a laugh and a chat along the way, especially if interspersed with stop offs for a cuppa or at a pub.

Box: 111474

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Wigan.

My Message: Hello, I'm Michael, like everyone on here (I assume) I enjoy a walk... However I have one problem, it is this computer in front of me and the fact that I work for myself from home... I love to go out for a walk but with nobody to go with it is getting off my bottom to go out and embrace the world that is the hardest thing. I do have one walking companion but he is a bit of a fair weather one, doesn't like the cold, doesn't like the rain, the wind can be a problem as can puddles and mud... or anything over 10 miles (who am I kidding, he whines after 6.. ).. Perhaps you've come across his kind before, he is a whippet!
So to get out and give myself a challenge (I do enjoy a challenge) I'm planning on completing the Wainwrights... to date (16th Feb 2017) I have done none.. ! I do love walking by myself, for me the whole point of climbing a mountain is the solitude and unspoilt natural beauty.. So I'm not really looking to go romping with a gaggle, but if I can find a select one or two to share the beauty of the great outdoors and perhaps a pint and a bite to eat on the way home I'd be delighted.
Experience wise I do not care if you are a complete novice or have all the badges.. Though hopefully you will be able to share a decent conversation and not just want to talk about every peak you've ever climbed.. ! Am looking to head to the lakes for some shorter walks and some longer.. Working for myself I can pretty much go when I want, depends from week to week. Female or Male, age not too important probably 20something to 50something.. but age is a number. So if you might like to join me for a walk in the Lakes drop me a note and perhaps I'll see you there!
And I know he is cute... no asking to come for a walk with me just to meet my dog... He'll only come if it is nice and not too far!!

My Message: Hello. I am a fit and active 56yr old male living near Preston. I'm a very keen walker and will go anywhere within 100 miles for day walks or anywhere in the UK for weekends away/short breaks. I'm hoping to meet a lady between the ages of 46-58 for friendship initially and if the chemistry is right between us then hopefully we can become more than good friends. I'm looking for someone who enjoys walking and a good chat and a laugh and maybe have a drink/bar snack at a nice country pub afterwards. If you are interested, why not get in touch. Ray

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Carlisle.

My Message: Hi,
Looking for someone or people to walk with (male or female). I enjoy a challenge and have just got back into walking regularly. I've done about 120 Wainwrights, the West Highland Way, the Arran Coastal Way, various chunks of the Cumbria Way, South Coast path and the Pennine Way in the past and recently walked for a week in the Brecon Beacons. Would love to do another long distance path though. I adore the west coast of Scotland and try to get a regular fix however brief.
I enjoy thoughtful and interesting conversation as well as a good chuckle at the ridiculous, and always appreciate a chance to stop and look at the wonderful things in this world, rather than charging right through it. I work Monday to Thursday so happy to walk any day over the weekend.
I enjoy the arts, music, reading and creative writing, but am rarely happier than when I'm on top of a hill.

Good Wishes
Happy Walking

Di

I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near Nantwich.

My Message: Hello, now retired with more time to fritter and looking for a female walking buddy, mainly but not exclusively in the north of England. Recent trips include the blue mountain and bushy parts of New South Wales and the Picos de Europa. I've even visited West Dorset! I feel so at home with all those fossils. You can feel as young as you like provided you don't look a day under forty. I'm very fond of tea but am quite happy to end the day in a pub if you're the genteel kind of lady who prefers to finish off with a couple of pints. Own car and happy to travel. Richard.
