I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Southampton.

My Message: Hello! I'm a 58 year old man looking a female walking companion. I live in Southampton and particularly enjoy walking in Hampshire and the New Forest. I'm very fit and have a youthful outlook on life. Apart from walking I also enjoy sailing, tennis and cycling and am passionate about wildlife and nature. I work freelance and so can be quite flexible as to when I take time off. My children are grown up and I have no other responsibilities or commitments. I'm very chatty and people tell me I make good company.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Aylesbury.

My Message: Hello,

I am retired and single with plenty of time to indulge my love of walking. I walk sometimes alone and sometimes with local walking groups. I would very much like to expand on that by finding a new friend or friends to walk with on a one to one basis. I live in Aylesbury so the Chilterns are on my doorstep but I am more than happy to try other areas. Recent walking holidays were in Wales and Yorkshire and I was born and raised near the Lake District.

I am more interested in spending time in the outdoors, stopping to enjoy the views and ending in a pub, than in ticking off particular challenges. A typical walk for me would be between 6 and 12 miles. More than that on a good day!

If that sounds good to you drop me a line and we can take it from there.

Brian

I am a Male Walker, in my early 40s, based near Morden.

My Message: Hi, I'm Martin. Looking to get walking again. Have made a small start to the South West Coast Path and want get back down there and be by the sea again. Quite interested in exploring the South Downs as well. Based in South London. Have my own car and am happy to drive to most places. I can be quite flexible with days and times.

I have a reasonable stride and can cover the ground, but I'm not looking for a route march. Want to stop and take it all in and explore any interesting bits - and that might include pub lunches and coffee stops if they are on the route!!

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Teignmouth.

My Message: Your Message
Hi. I'm new to South Devon and love to walk! My trusty Shetland sheepdog is my constant companion. I'm hardy but not very fast. But I love company, a cuppa and good conversation! I'm only interested in making friends, nothing more. Timewise, I am very flexible so happy to do weekdays around the local area or Dartmoor or further afield. I'm a liberal thinker, an ex-academic, interested in the arts, travel, politics and culture, anything funny and engaging. I also play the violin badly, but don't worry, it doesn't come out with me! I love the great outdoors and fresh air.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 70s, based near Lowestoft And Weymouth.

My Message: Newly retired and desperate to get out and see more of the country, I love travel and get away when I can but a little local knowledge is always welcome to find the best walks. I love dramatic scenery and there's not a lot in Suffolk, I have a little campervan which is a bit basic but I'm an expert camper, as I spend most of my time away out walking it suits me fine and gives me freedom, my family mostly live in Dorset and I am there quite often, I've just returned from walking round the Lizard Peninsular which was great

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Hinckley, Leics.

My Message: Hi, my names Paul and I'm looking for someone who is adventurous, fun and would like to go on short or long hikes. Short country walks to a country pub for food and drinks are as much my cup of tea as are the more challenging long distance trails.
I like taking photos and chatting with strangers along the way, generally having a laugh and enjoying the great outdoors. I'm currently trying my hand at landscape water colour painting if you can give me some tips? In return I can safely navigate you from A-B without fear of getting lost!
I can go walking almost any day of the week as my work is flexible, although I have to work a lot of weekend dates so weekdays would be best.
The Peak District is a big favourite of mine because it's close to home but love the Yorkshire Dales and the Lakes, but would walk anywhere new and interesting. Would be interested in walking in Italy as I've just got the guide books and it looks amazing!
So if you'd like to have your own sherpa, tour guide and some fun along the way drop me a line

I am a Female Walker, in my late 60s, based near Taunton.

My Message: I now live in Somerset, have recently acquired a rescue Labrador and am looking for a walking and talking companion. I am a fit, young 68 year old and, whilst I confess to not being an experienced walker I would love to take it up on a regular basis.
I am extremely well travelled worldwide, many years in the travel and hospitality industries, have lived abroad for most of my life (am fluent in French, German and Spanish now rusty). However, there are parts of the U. K. that are foreign to me and I would love to change that. If you are up for the challenge, do get in touch.

My Message: Hello I am currently walking sections of the South West Coast path. I have walked from Poole to Hartland Quay so far. 514 miles down and 116 miles to go. I am walking for four days from the 28th July from Hartland Quay to Barnstaple. A good mix of four days walking. I am walking 3 days with another member of this site but the more the merrier. I am particularly keen to find someone to walk on Monday 31st July from Clovelly to Hartland Quay as there are only a few buses and two cars would be good as I am walking on my own that day. I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Shaftesbury.

My Message: Hi, I'm married to a lovely man, but he doesn't like walking. I have set myself the target of walking the SW Coastal Path, and have completed the first 70 or so miles from Minehead, alone, but would much prefer to be with other(s), from a safety point of view and generally having company. I like to do 8-13 miles a day, and enjoy the occasional cuppa along the way/something stronger on completion maybe. I think I'm easy going, pretty bad at map reading (attending a course soon), have a sense of humour and enjoy a bit of a challenge. In the future, I would like to do many other National Trails, and am happy to find accommodation for longer stints away. My puppy may want to join in at some point, so would prefer a dog lover, but that's not a deal-breaker. Would be delighted to be contacted by men or women of any age and enjoy a pace of 2. 5-3. 5 miles per hour, according to terrain.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Sherborne.

My Message: Hi, I'm Paul and I'm aiming to walk the South West Coast Path in bite size sections over the next few years - already done a few sections in Dorset and Devon. Many years ago I used to be able to do up to 25 miles a day (pre Peru trek training!) but now seem to have been pegged back to 8-10 miles; hoping to improve this.

Looking for interesting people to walk with (be it someone who wants to walk the whole path or just someone who is happy to join me as and when); ideally someone who can walk at a moderate pace (I'm 6 foot with a reasonably long stride) and who also enjoys a drink/light meal midway or at the end.

Work is flexible so can do weekday and weekend (primarily Sunday) walks; maybe the odd overnight stop. I have a partner who pursues her own sporting interests (horse riding). I don't always have access to transport but am reasonably well located to use trains and buses.

UPDATE May 2017 : Doing the Macmillan Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike 8th June!

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Huddersfield.

My Message: Hi
My name's Kate and I'm really interested in improving my walking skills and seeing and enjoying much more of the outdoors, both at weekends and also when I'm free mostly at weekends but sometimes during the week. I'd really like to try new walks and challenges, beginning in the places I've mentioned. I would enjoy some company for this and to maybe have time to have a drink/coffee and chat with, at the end of a walk. I am very interested in meeting people to walk with who might introduce me to new walks, but in a low key, not too serious way. I hope to find folk who want to try regular outings for fun and adventure and to take in as much scenery as possible. Please get in touch if any of this this resonates with you. I shall look forward to hearing from you. Kate

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Kent.

My Message: Hi my name is Richard, I am a keen North Kent/London runner and walker of 57 years. I like nothing more than to explore the great outdoors on foot. Its funny I started walking some years back and when realising I was not as fit as I thought I started to run to improve my hill stamina and caught the bug. I have walked all over the UK either in groups or solo including the West Highland Way, half of the Southwest Coastal Path and half of Offa’s Dyke, I’d love to finish these walks one day. The South Downs Way was a great walk achieved in chunks. I have been very interested for a long time and admired the achievements of others who have climbed Mount Everest and finally achieved a lifetime ambition with friends and trekked to Everest Base Camp a few years back, why…’because its there’. I am just back from a trek to Machu Picchu, an incredible life experience. So, where to now, looking for a new challenge with new company.
