I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near London.

My Message: Hi

I live in London and am looking for fellow walkers to explore the countryside with on weekends.
I love to get my hiking boots on whenever I can.
I like doing walks in the counties around London, but I'm also looking to go further afield now that the weather is getting nicer and the nights longer.
So drop me a line if you're interested.
Thanks

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Milford Haven.

My Message: Hi there,
I've only recently signed up to this and though it looked like a great idea to find like-minded people that may wish to join me out and about someday.
I'm 36, single and live / work in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
I've always been keen to explore the great outdoors, and I'm always up for new challenges, however until recently I probably haven't made as much of an effort as I should have done. The fact that most of my friends don't share my passion for the outdoors has restricted me to a certain degree but I've decided to put that right!! So, hopefully I'll find willing companions to enjoy an afternoon / weekend walk or challenge sometime, perhaps with the prospect of lunch afterwards, who knows???
Failing that, I'll head out alone - I've decided our great countryside has too uch to offer to simply let the chance go by
If you're interested in joining me someday then I'd love to hear from you, and hope you'll get in touch before tooo long, thanks, Gregg

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Odiham, Hampshire.

My Message: Hi, my name is Penny and I'm looking for a weekend walking companion to join me walking routes within a reasonable distance of north Hampshire. I work full time and crave a good dose of fresh air and a 10-12 mile stretch of the legs on a Saturday or Sunday.

I've completed a couple of national trails and am keen to do more. I can read a map and am not shy of walking in the rain, so long as we can keep going! I'm reasonably fit, have been a regular runner up to marathon length, and can be found at the gym at lunchtimes during the week.

I have tried walking with groups, but generally prefer the company of one other like minded soul, who enjoys a faster pace. Hope to hear from you!

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 40s, based near London.

My Message: Hello - it's been a while since I've been actively walking. I'm looking for folks to get out into the fresh air with, starting modestly I would think, but I'm keen to build up to more strenuous walks. I am London-based but I am happy to travel to meet up somewhere in the country. Not a dog-owner myself but happy to share the experience with pooches

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Edenbridge.

My Message: I am looking to do more walking and rebuild my life after being suddenly widowed. I sometimes walk locally with a group, and will also do walks with my family; but I would like to find a male walking companion in my own age group (50-60) to open up the possibility of planning some special expeditions that I wouldn't tackle alone. I run a business from home so organise my own time.

I do a lot of thinking while walking and would appreciate the companionship of someone who shares my love of the natural world, will be happy to have a laugh and a chat and share a pint or two in the pub at the end of the journey, but is also happy with companionable silence in beautiful surroundings. Also, would like to meet a competent navigator so that I can once more walk in the wilder areas of Britain. I relied on my husband as the expert hill walker since although I'm a reasonable map reader, I have a hopeless sense of direction!

For this reason, my recent solo enterprise was to start walking the West Coast path, of which I've done a few instalments over recent years (progressed from Weston Super Mare to Bude so far). I reckoned if I kept the sea on my right, I couldn't go far wrong. I was happy to do this trek alone while my husband was alive, but now I prefer to avoid too much solitude.

12 miles in a day is about my absolute maximum if there are any hills involved. I tend to be happier walking round lakes looking up at mountains rather than half killing myself struggling to conquer them, but can be persuaded to tackle a challenge at my own pace. I don't do route marching. I'm an experienced camper, excellent at logistics and making tea, and may be accompanied by a dog.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 40s, based near St Leonards-on-sea.

My Message: Hi, I’m a keen walker, single, based on the Sussex coast. I like all sorts of walks, afternoon strolls to country pubs, or more challenging walks up mountains. Most of my walking is local to me in Sussex at the moment, except when I go on holiday. I’d like to explore further a field, but don’t have anyone to go exploring with. I enjoy the fresh air, the exercise, the conversation, the views and, if there’s a pub stop en route or at the end, the beer. I’d like to meet new friends for walks at weekends (I work Monday to Friday), but if you’re up for heading off for a weekend of walking in the more mountainous parts of the country, that would be cool too. Andrew

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Southampton.

My Message: Hi, My name is Sue and I am 47 and single. I live in Hampshire and my passion for walking and hiking began a few years ago in the Lake District with my friend who lives in Newcastle.

I have progressed from flat walking to hiking in Andalucia (600-800 mtr climbs), Snowdon (miners trail) in July this year where it was heavy rain and blowing a gale the whole way up!!.... I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge though. Theres so many places I would like to visit however my walking partner lives too far away to make it a regular event. I do however reguarly walk with my sister and her husband locally in the New Forest/south coast and these are grade 1 and 2 walks.

It would be great to find a walking partner locally and happy to do 5 - 12 miles. I work shifts so often available mid week too. I have 2 daughters and 3 sisters so some male company would make a nice change. I do make a nice packed lunch but allways happy to visit the pub if preferable.

I have never used a map or compass, the walks/hikes I have done have either been guided or from a guide book but I am willing to learn!!

Personality wise I would describe myself as 'a people person' confident, outgoing and happy. I excersise approx 3 times a week.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 40s, based near London.

My Message: Hi, I am a 45 year old female living in central London. I work during the week so most of my walking is done at the weekends when I like to get out of London. I don't have a car but am happy using public transport. I have walked in Wales, Devon, Surrey and the North of England. I like maps although I must admit that I have a terrible sense of direction. For me a good days walk (6-12 miles) ends in a cosy pub that serves delicious food and you feel hungry and tired and your legs ache a bit. My Message: I'm currently trying to log as many mountainous days as I can over the next year in aid of my Summer Mountain Leader award. I live in the south but I don't mind getting trains to national parks anywhere in the country. I'm not available regularly (i. e. weekends) but I have decent length breaks from work every month. So I'm basically looking for somebody who would enjoy to go on multiple day mountainous expeditions anywhere in the UK.
