I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Cullompton.

My Message: Hello, my name is Dmitry. Originally from Russia, I spent 10 years in Scotland where I enjoyed regular walks in the hills. Recently moved to Devon and looking to explore Devon/Somerset/Dorset area, but can travel further away. Although I often walk on my own, it would be nice to have a company. I am quite good with maps. Currently in the process of adopting a rescue dog and I am sure he will enjoy doggy company, if you have a dog (or a few). Other interest include camping/caravanning, sailing and canoeing, photography and painting. Available on weekends, but can do some midweek days too.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Solihull.

My Message: Hi there, my name is David and I'm 57 years old. I enjoy walking alone but would also like to walk with one or a few other people. I tend to do walks of 5-8 miles, not too strenuous but I would like to start to increase my range and fitness. I am looking for people to walk with on weekdays, as my weekends are usually busy, and I walk then with my wife. I am pretty much retired now and have time on my hands during the week. I am happy to travel further afield so get in touch if this suits. I don't care what age you are, or what sex. I would hope that you are friendly and have a sense of humour, and aren't too intense!

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Warwickshire.

My Message: I have done a lot of walking over the years both in the UK and abroad and retired so lots more time available now. My local area is the Cotswolds but I often walk in Wales, Derbyshire and the Lake District. I have completed part of the South West coast path and would like to do more. I particularly enjoy walking in the hills, coastal walking and walking a reasonable distance. Although I walk with various groups of friends regularly they are not always free or inclined to walk further from home. I have only marked a few areas as I would be willing to walk almost anywhere.
I look forward to finding new companions, particularly for the SWC path.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near London.

My Message: Reliving my passion for walking in the country side. As I am now registerd Blind I find it's not so easy for filling my love of walking. A keen rambler for many years I have a yearn to get out and about again and take in the beautiful creation that surrounds us. I am looking to make a couple of friends to come rambling. I'm living in London and need to get out from time to time.
I thought up to about 10+ miles would be a good starting distance. I can help with some travel expenses if we need a train. I am up for a pint, or tea, or my favoured place for a break is a bite to eat in the middle of nowhere propped up against a log or wall.
If you walk with a group or by yourself it would be great to hear from you.
If you think you can assist or have any ideas, just let me know and if you need any more information about me just ask, we'll see ware it takes us. Al

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Pontypool.

My Message: Active 54 year old looking for equally active male walking buddy for walking at weekends in the main as work prevents weekday walking. Looking for friendship and companionship initially, and take it from there. Happy to tackle most walking terrain, and not just a fair weather walker. Would prefer a non smoking companion, and happy to partake in a beverage at a Pub either en route or at the end of a walk. Very keen to do much more walking than I do currently, but need a buddy and navigator on board. Much prefer company and pleasant banter, and the added security proved. Currently exercise at home daily but would much prefer to be in the outdoors and fresh air.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near London.

My Message: Hi Fellow walkers,

I'm seeking a companion(s) who are happy to go for a day's walk at a relaxed steady pace. I go out for at least one long walk most weekends and look to cover between 10 to 20 miles (occasionally a bit more) depending on the terrain. Sometimes it's a walk along the Thames path and on other occasions I get on a train and head for the countryside or the coast and where possible have a pint of local ale before jumping on the train back to London.

Once or twice a year I plan to walk a Long distance path booking BandB's on the route. Also I'm doing a 100km walk (London to Cambridge) in August so will be looking to explore the route over the summer months.

By nature I'm easy going and quite quiet and don't mind listening if you like to chat the day away.

If you would like to tag along feel free to contact me to arrange a day out.

Regards Graham

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Peterborough.

My Message: Hi, My name is Rob and I live in Peterborough. I'm easy going and love good conversation, interested in all sorts of things and always interested to learn. I used to be a member of a local club but the large numbers and the clickyness (is that a word) that you seemed to get, put me off. I love walking in Derbyshire and the lakes. I have climbed the old man at Coniston and two years ago did Tyfan in Wales by the North face (although to be honest I was out of my comfort zone at times). The club I was in regualary did 10-13 miles walks but I havent' done this for a year or two so might have to build up the distance again. I would love to meet up with like minded females/males to get back into walking again at weekends as I work all week. I have a reliable car and dont mind travel as long as theirs a pint at a local pub at the end of the walk! I have basic map reading although very rusty and would like to get better at this again. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

My Message: Hello I'm Phil and I love walking. I frequently walk on The Ridgeway at weekends, visit the Lake District and Scotland about four times a year and always plan a big walk during my long summer holidays. In 2013 I completed the Camino Frances all the way to Fisterra in 35 days and last summer walked Bonn Hommes Route in the Pyrenees from Berga to Foix. I am a Female Walker, in my late 60s, based near Stratford Upon Avon And Snowdonia.

My Message:
Hi, I am Vera.
I have recently joined this site hoping to find equally minded walking companions, male or female to share some good walks and lovely countryside.
I walked most of the mountains in Snowdonia till a riding accident smashed one of my legs. This was five years ago, and I have managed to walk myself into some fitness again, though some steep terrain is no longer possible. However, having taken up cycling and gentler walking I still enjoy the outdoors.
I walk a lot on my own since I lost my lovely four legged companion two years ago.
Map reading is not one of my talents.
I travel quite a lot as I like to cycle abroad and am lucky to speak 5 European languages.
Anybody interested in meeting up?

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Luton.

My Message: Hi - my name's Mark: I enjoy wandering around the Herts/Beds/Bucks area (further afield too from time to time), but it can be a bit solitary solo so I'm looking for others of a similar age to share walks with (but definitely not large groups); I walk in most weather. These aren't route marches, and I stop frequently to look at things - wildlife or landscape or simply to just appreciate and soak up the surroundings. They may also involve pub lunches or picnics. Various bits of me creak more than they should, so the walks tend to be limited to between 5 and 10 miles. I'm not super-fit, I just love being with trees, fields etc. My free time is generally during the week.

I'm 59, fairly recently retired, ex aviation industry, married with grown-up offspring. Interests include aviation, history, live music and travelling. I'm happiest near rivers or the coast, not something Bedfordshire's very well-known for!

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Bristol.

My Message: Based in Bristol. I used to be very fit, walking and cycling every day. However, I'm working from home these days and suddenly piling on the pounds. Help! I would love to get fit again in the company enthusiastic walkers, male or female. I'm interested in making good friends, but am too used to the single life for a relationship. For the purposes of harmonious conversation, I'm an atheist and a bit of a liberal who wobbles with age into grumpiness. I love literature, writing, travel (especially Italy) and the English countryside and England, but NOT in a UKIP way.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Lyndhurst /Exmoor.

My Message: Hi I am a fairly fit heterosexual lady who would love to find a walking companion. I run a pub in the New Forest which is when I walk daily with my dogs but I spend alot of my time in Exmoor on my days off, where I also walk. I tend to walk much longer walks down there as obviously I have more time. I love taking time out to explore new areas especially Scotland which I have visited a lot but find it a bit lonely on my own all the time. I love staying in my camper in remote places and travelling around discovering new places in the British Isles. I would obviously like to meet the love of my life but to find a likewise person who is bright, loves the countryside, can cope with my dogs and enjoys walking with me would be great. I can walk up to 8 /10 miles easily and love picnics, or a visit to a pub. Anyone that would like to meet for a walk in the New Forest or Exmoor (or anywhere really.. there are so many places to see) please get in touch. I run from my pub a dog walk on the 1st Sunday in the month. Feel free anyone with a mut that would like to come along.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Newport, Isle Of Wight.

My Message: Married man, 60's, ex-RN Serviceman, who maintains fitness through regular walking, seeks walking partners who would enjoy casual days out on an exchange basis, between his home area of the Isle of Wight, and their home area too! Preference for responses from married couples, or married solos, in the age range of 40 - 70 years, but all responses or replies from anyone wishing to make contact will be cordially acknowledged, thank you! A leisure walker who enjoys photography, nature and scenic contemplation, as well as pleasant and interesting conversation whilst out and about, I would be happy to exchange and share some acquaintance e. mail correspondence prior to meeting, as well as providing a photograph too, if desired! Will be delighted to introduce new friends to the scenic pleasures and interests of the varied Island countryside and coastal vistas, as well as also enjoying and learning more about their home areas too! Able to arrange weekday meetings, but Saturdays only at weekends, owing to Sunday commitments. Thank you very much for patiently reading this introductory and genuine request, and I will patiently anticipate and welcome any kind replies. With my appreciation, from Maurice. :-)

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Nr Bourton On The Water Glos.

My Message: Hi all... Looking for some walking company male/female in the Glos/Oxford area.
Have always enjoyed the out doors and have taken up walking quite seriously over this past year for health reasons ( diabetic type 2 ). Have done Pemb coast path, not all at once I hasten to add, Peny Fan and bits of the South West coast path, Malvern Hills plus many of the local walks where I live. Would love to do Snowden in the near future but not that experienced with map and compass as yet but practising and improving every time Im out.Using a Garmin GPS when compass work goes T*Ts up ( not got lost yet, thankfully ). I work shifts, working most week ends, the week ends Im off I spend time with my partner, she has no real interest in walking at all. Most of my free time is in the week, 4 complete days off together so plenty of time for walking. Woud be prepared to travel, car share, expenses etc.
I'm 5ft 5ins ( just ) and have a Noir sense of humour, so if you like good food, posh Italian, or just a plain bacon sarnie, good conversation ( I like to put the world right ) art,(Salvador Dali and Georgia O'keeffe particular favs) music ( classical, sacred music, dance & trance ) then Id like your walking company.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Bristol.

My Message: Hi. I live and work in Bristol. I really enjoy country walks and usually try to get out regularly between work commitments. (I'm self employed so often different times each week) My favourite places to walk are Dartmoor and the Devon/Cornwall coast path. I've almost finished walking the Two Moors Way which I hope to complete over the next few months and then would like to start on the coast path as a long term project. Mostly I walk near Bristol in the Cotswolds/Somerset and very occasionally in the Brecon Beacons and Wye Valley. I'm 51, not good enough with computers to be able to add a photo, but energetic and keen to try some new walks and make some new friends. Not too bad with map reading and prefer to go wrong occasionally than to use GPS - it's more fun with paper and compass! I love picnics, flasks of tea and pub lunches!

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Launceston.

My Message: Hello, my name is Adrian. I have spent to long walking on my own, and would love to find someone likeminded to accompany me and my dog snip.
I have tried for many years to get my partner and daughter to come along. Not going to happen.
I'm self-employed so I'm good for short notice and any time walks.
I've spent most of my time walking Dartmoor, but I also used to live in Blackpool, so north Wales and the lake district was my home ground.
My love is long distance walking. Camping is still good for me, but I must admit, the older you get the more BandB s look inviting.
