I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Bath hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I love walking and want people to go walking and to socialise with. If we can get a good weather day and a view, all the better. I'd be happy to meet up with men or women for a day's walk, anytime soon. Also happy to join a group walk. At least it's something we can still do at this time.
I've walked the whole of the SWCP, circuit of the Isle of Wight, the South Downs Way and the Cotswold Way. I love walking in the Lake District and would love to do the Coast to Coast. Am also trying to the Wessex Ridgeway in single day trips from home. But I also love a blow on the Marlborough Downs or just an amble along the canal. Tea or a pub meal at the end is a bonus.
I'm retired and don't have any regular commitments except Wednesday evenings at the moment. I play tennis but don't want to appear super fit, just normal for a walker in her 60's! Am happy to travel to meet up with someone and hope it might be you.

My Preferred Walk Areas:

A bit more about me:

When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Skiing and/or Snowboarding

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Stafford hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I live in the Staffordshire area and would like to meet male and female walking partners to walk locally and explore more of the UK. I am a Female Walker, in my late 20s, based near Salisbury hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Would love to find more friends with mutual interests. Any size, shape, colour, background, just hopefully good company and a lover of a good view :)
Friendship and fun but nothing serious.

Happy to do shorter local walks or all day trips further afield. I can comfortably walk 10-13 miles in a day along coast paths or forests but would gladly walk further with willing company! Can drive but to be honest I will avoid it when I can. Beyond useless with or without a map!

My favourite places so far are the Jurassic Coast, Pembrokeshire Coast, Savernake Forest, and Waterfall Country. Hoping for the opportunity to make it up a mountain this year!
Also enjoy casual cycling and swimming, and baking.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Bingley hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi all,
My name is Bry, looking primarily for walking partner(s) in the Yorkshire area but am also mobile and with a keen desire to explore new areas once the current regulations permit this.
I am physically in reasonable shape, ex military (Royal Navy) and currently work at sea in the commercial Geoscience sector, so geophysical / geotechnical seabed surveys for the oil and gas, wind and cable industries. This means I am away for a few weeks at a time, but when not at sea have complete freedom. I am currently single with no ties, and try and spend as much time as possible in the hills. Currently restricted to the moors around Ilkley due to national constraints, but love driving to the Dales for longer walks. I consider myself of above average fitness for my age, but always room for improvement. Would not be adverse to overnight trips or expeditions, have a love of exploration that won't seem to go away. I am fortunate to be well travelled, have done hikes in Antarctica, Falklands and South America amongst others but don't let that put you off.
Laid back, articulate and confident. Will walk with anyone of any ability for companionship, would not rule out anything more if there was any chemistry but not looking for that to be a defining reason for being on here.
Sky is the limit, so please get in touch if you want to know more, chat or maybe arrange a meet. I consider myself socially responsible, so will need to be within current guidelines for meeting until things change. Current situation wont last forever!

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Hove hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi folks, I haven't been as proactive in getting out and walking in the last few years as much as I would have liked to. My aim is to change al of that and I would like to meet likeminded people to enjoy walks with.
I don't mind where I walk and would like to be introduced to some new places to explore.
I am fairly fit and used to run Marathons, but my knees won't take that level of punishment anymore but I can walk all day long.

My Message: Hi,
I like to think I'm still in my 30's but my knees tell me otherwise after a days walking..Ha! I enjoy picking up an OS Map and plotting a 12-15 mile circular walk using footpaths, bridleways etc. There are lots of lovely places waiting to be discovered and even better when your walking with someone to share them with. I'm hoping to meet someone that would like to have a walking companion who hopefully doesn't live to far from where I live, fit, young at heart, a good sense of humour and would like to join me in discovering more of this beautiful countryside. I'm available to walk most days as I have taken early retirement and although I do have commitments they can normally be juggled to suit. My Message: Hi, I am looking for pleasant, easy going male or female walking friends preferably located in The Midlands, but not limited to this area as I'm more than willing to travel for an adventurous day out. Someone who loves the outdoors and likes to have a gentle chat, someone who can listen as well as talk, who has a good sense of humour and who isn't averse to a bit of adventure. I love to take advantage of the lighter evenings in the Spring and Summer to walk locally (within a 20ish miles radius) during the week. I work a couple of days a week, but can fit in daytime walks on other weekdays and at weekends. Happy to discuss any possibilities. It would be great to hear from you. I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Norwich hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, John here. Hoping to meet like-minded people/person to spend a few hours, or even a few days with.
I enjoy walking in any type of environment, followed by a beer or two after a good slog. I have walked in most National Parks, and walked up a few mountains. My navigational skills are above average and I always plan the route before setting off. With some notice, I am able to reach for the walking boots almost anytime.
I am more than happy to teach navigation skills to anyone.
I have no walking ambitions, I just love to get out and enjoy the view. So, if you wish to spend a couple of hours, or longer with me, please let me know.

I love the outdoors, walking, hiking, climbing, kayaking, coasteering, gorge walking.....the list goes on!
I have a campervan that I have just converted and, as I'm self-employed, I am able to go anywhere, at any time (almost). I like to get away as much as I can.
Care to join me sometime? (Obviously when the 'rona has gone!!).
Just spent 5 days in Matlock which was great. The weather not so, but I got some good walks in. It's just a shame nobody could share the enjoyment with me.

I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have my own Campervan/Motorhome.

I am a Qualified Lowland Leader (LL) - Mountain Training Association. I am a Qualified Hill and Moorland Leader (formerly Walking Group Leader (WGL)) - Mountain Training Association.

I am also interested in:

  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
  • Rock Climbing

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
  • Skiing and/or Snowboarding

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 70s, based near Worcestershire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message:
Hello fellow walkers! I've always enjoyed walking - I'm energetic, a reasonable pace, whilst absorbing nature along the way suits me perfectly. I fill my weekdays, week- ends suit me well.
Due to illness and circumstances my regular walking friends are unable to join me. I'm not being adventurous or pushing myself now the days are shorter and cooler. I love all the seasons, tho' autumn's my favourite. There is a joy in being outdoors with good conversation sharing the love of nature- invigorates, whilst exchanging ideas and learning, some laughter too- would be nice to share all these delights with someone likeminded.
Anything over eight miles, would be a long walk for me, Currently my walking tends to be on the hills where I live here in Malvern.
I've come to realise without a companion to set some days with, places will remain unexplored!...

I really don't like Scrambling & Edges - they are defintely not for me. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. Sorry, but I really do not like walking with Dogs. If pushed, I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are rather poor at best. I can drive and have a car.

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Hereford hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I live on Herefordshire and enjoy the outdoors. Walking gives me a sense of freedom and takes me away from all the noisy stimulus and brashness of every day life. Being in nature feeds my soul. I've done short and long distance (Camino de Santiago) walks and want to do many more. Happy to walk in most weather's providing I have the right hear. Map reading skills are averages and I work on the principle that getting lost is just a chance to re-orientate myself.
I'm happy to walk alone and quite adventurous in that regard. However, some times it would be nice to share the view and adventures with someone else and walk places I haven't been.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near London hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, John here, I am a really keen walker and looking for a female walking companion to join me for walks of varying distances in the countryside around London and the South East generally including coastal walks and perhaps a trip further afield. It would be good to have a walking day our with a pub lunch and even tea to finish, I am retired and can walk mid-week as well as weekends to suit your own commitments. I do not drive but love travelling by train for walks outside London and the coast. If you are interested in walking with me at any time to suit then I would love to hear from you because on a nice day I just love to grab one of my books with walk routes and head off. I'm a volunteer lock keeper and work one day a week which I love doing. I love London's history and give guided walks and currently writing a book to include my ten favourite walks. I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Beaconsfield hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I am looking for new friends to explore the UK with, as I've exhausted(literally !!) my current friends, many of whom prefer short walks. During this corona lockdown I've averaged 30 miles a week - better than baking any day. My job is cabin crew, often I have 3 days off during the week with the occasional weekend. I especially love coastal walks, but am good with any terrain, just happy to be walking. I'd like to do more multi day hikes, no problem camping or staying in BnBs. I've carried a big back pack but also had it transported. I've hiked the Anna Purna Circuit and part of he Camino de Santiago, always looking for new adventures.
