I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near St. Helens.

My Message: Hello to everyone, I've been a hill and mountain walker for many years now, unfortunatley most of my friends have given up or have knackered knees. I backed packed round the world with a friend just a few years ago and would like to do it again in the not to distant future.

I would like to meet new friends/mates male or female for new adventures. I'm happy to do any grade of walk from half a day on the flat to a few days backpacking in the hills. I can talk all day but for you girls out there, i know when to listen. Camping B+Bs Pubs or Hotels, i don't mind. I can do weekdays and weekends.

Many thanks, hope to here from you all.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Liverpool.

My Message: Hi my name is Lee, and I live Liverpool.

I have decided to update this message as I have walked quite a few routes now thanks to a very good mate Tom who I met through this site. We tend to walk every other weekend, which in the winter is probably enough. I say that after us doing Hellvelyn in the freezing cold. I may want to try to do a little more in the Summer.

For me as much as I love walking but I also love admiring the view, maybe sneak in a little bit of rest while having a chat and a laugh.

I'm a Mum but my son is now 15 and I am very much surplus to requirements. The day has come to soon but I have to accept the fact that I have been dumped for his mates.

I do have friends but they are really not interested in the idea of walking, not sure why.

The downside is I dont drive so would need to be able to get to the walks via public transport. So if I can get there via a train it's ideal.

If you are interested in helping me out, drop me a line x

I am a Female Walker, in my late 60s, based near Stratford Upon Avon And Snowdonia.

My Message:
Hi, I am Vera.
I have recently joined this site hoping to find equally minded walking companions, male or female to share some good walks and lovely countryside.
I walked most of the mountains in Snowdonia till a riding accident smashed one of my legs. This was five years ago, and I have managed to walk myself into some fitness again, though some steep terrain is no longer possible. However, having taken up cycling and gentler walking I still enjoy the outdoors.
I walk a lot on my own since I lost my lovely four legged companion two years ago.
Map reading is not one of my talents.
I travel quite a lot as I like to cycle abroad and am lucky to speak 5 European languages.
Anybody interested in meeting up?

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Chelmsford.

My Message: Hello. I live in Essex where the main challenge in the winter is the mud! I walk regularly with a walking group but am looking for a male companion to share walks in a different way:-to plan the walk together, to discover the wonderful British countryside and wildlife, to chat and laugh along the way, to stop and look when and if you want, to have time to take photographs and at the end of the day to collapse into the teashop or pub. Although much maligned Essex has a very varied landscape with the estuaries and their big skies quite stunning but no hills that I've noticed! Last year I did some walking on the SW Coastal Path which was spectacular but challenging - up and down all the way. I'm happy with most reasonable distances and particularly like the prospect of completing a long distance trail - possibly in stages depending on the length. That said I'd be happy to walk almost anywhere! If you think you might be interested please get in touch.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Hereford.

My Message: Hi, I am a lively 60+ Hereford based ceramic artist. Rusty fine weather walker. Not into 'collecting'
walks, route marches or yomping, but very much into seeing the landscape. Looking for
interesting companion for conversation and appreciation of nature, not averse to pub and tea stops.
Ready to stand and stare. I am in love, in particular, with the Pembrokeshire coast, and love the Welsh coast and landscape. Would prefer a male walking companion.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Bradford.

My Message: Hello. I'm an athletic and active 53 yr old male (who still thinks he's 25). I retired from policing and all those years of walking the beat. I've been back packing around the world, done Kilimanjaro etc. but there is still a lot to see. It would be great to explore the Uk with a like minded male/female companion or any groups. I'm based in Saltaire near Bradford but, as a part time pensioner and Sports Coach (!) I've got time, spontaneity, solvency and inclination to bag those peaks. So do get in touch... I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Lyndhurst /Exmoor.

My Message: Hi I am a fairly fit heterosexual lady who would love to find a walking companion. I run a pub in the New Forest which is when I walk daily with my dogs but I spend alot of my time in Exmoor on my days off, where I also walk. I tend to walk much longer walks down there as obviously I have more time. I love taking time out to explore new areas especially Scotland which I have visited a lot but find it a bit lonely on my own all the time. I love staying in my camper in remote places and travelling around discovering new places in the British Isles. I would obviously like to meet the love of my life but to find a likewise person who is bright, loves the countryside, can cope with my dogs and enjoys walking with me would be great. I can walk up to 8 /10 miles easily and love picnics, or a visit to a pub. Anyone that would like to meet for a walk in the New Forest or Exmoor (or anywhere really.. there are so many places to see) please get in touch. I run from my pub a dog walk on the 1st Sunday in the month. Feel free anyone with a mut that would like to come along.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Swansea.

My Message: Hello

I've moved back to Swansea having lived abroad for many years, and would love to meet new walking friends to explore the Gower coast and surrounding areas. I would also love to go to the Isles of Scilly one day. Walks of around five miles would be my ideal.

I am single, quite vivacious and easy to talk to, although I am equally comfortable walking in silence. I'd be happy with a meal and a drink either during or after a walk, and would love to hear from anyone who would like to join me. I work from home so am flexible about dates and times.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Ellesmere Port.

My Message: Male, 63 looking for anyone to accompany me on walks mainly around N.Wales. Regular weekly walks up Moel Fammau if that's of any interest. Self employed, so reasonably flexible. I'm not the quickest as I've got ms, (not disabled) but will take on virtually anything from a disused railway track to a mountain. Lake District beckons at the end of November, as I'm marshalling on an annual car rally in Grizedale Forest on the Saturday, which usually involves staying over for a mountain walk on the Sunday. Need to get Crib Goch and Tryfan done if anyone has experience please. As an alternative, if anyone has or knows of a dog owner whose pooch isn't getting enough exercise, then I may be willing to have him or her as company instead! Colin

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Nr Bourton On The Water Glos.

My Message: Hi all... Looking for some walking company male/female in the Glos/Oxford area.
Have always enjoyed the out doors and have taken up walking quite seriously over this past year for health reasons ( diabetic type 2 ). Have done Pemb coast path, not all at once I hasten to add, Peny Fan and bits of the South West coast path, Malvern Hills plus many of the local walks where I live. Would love to do Snowden in the near future but not that experienced with map and compass as yet but practising and improving every time Im out.Using a Garmin GPS when compass work goes T*Ts up ( not got lost yet, thankfully ). I work shifts, working most week ends, the week ends Im off I spend time with my partner, she has no real interest in walking at all. Most of my free time is in the week, 4 complete days off together so plenty of time for walking. Woud be prepared to travel, car share, expenses etc.
I'm 5ft 5ins ( just ) and have a Noir sense of humour, so if you like good food, posh Italian, or just a plain bacon sarnie, good conversation ( I like to put the world right ) art,(Salvador Dali and Georgia O'keeffe particular favs) music ( classical, sacred music, dance & trance ) then Id like your walking company.
