I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near South Yorkshire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I am a very active 64yr old with a fun sense of humour and enjoy interesting conversation, have a wide range of interests.
Have just purchased a tent and hope to go away for longer breaks around the UK next year but also do hostels and cottages. Have done some activity holidays which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Enjoy walking but also like to have the opportunity to take in the scenery and wildlife. Love hill walking but also enjoy coastal walks where can take in a dip in the sea. I
am retired and intend to live it to the full, anyone out there feel the same?

My Preferred Walk Grades*: 2:3:4:5:6:

My Preferred Walk Areas:

A bit more about me:

When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Mountain Biking
  • Skiing and/or Snowboarding

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Norwich hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi
Im in my 50's - fit enough to handle a good challenge walk (done the Lyke Wake a few times) - ive also walked the Coast to Coast, and would be very happy to do it again some time - but am equally as happy gently strolling through the countryside stopping at the occasional pub:)
I enjoy walking on the North Yorkshire Moors/Coast, the Peak District and the Lake District.
I have a campervan, but am not averse to something a bit more luxurious in the way of a hotel or country inn!!

Im hoping to find a likeminded Lady Walker who would like the occasional weekend away, whatever the weather. - map reading skills useful but not essential!!! If anyone would like a quiet walking and eating getaway in North Yorkshire or the Peak District over Christmas do get in touch!!

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Stroud hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I've been walking for the past 20 years. For a long time because of work commitments and raising my children I didn't have time for long distance walking, but now I have time and am keen to do as many as I can. I'm particularly keen to do the Beacon Way (Brecon Beacons), Coast to coast, and The Two moors way, to start....But I'm open to any long distance walks. I know the days are getting shorter but I'd love to get in a few long walks before the end of the year. If interested, male or female, please contact me. Many thanks Mary

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Birkdale hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I like to get out in the hills as often as possible but I don't go bagging Munros just to get back and tick it off a list.
I go to enjoy the beauty of our country and take my time and breath in fresh air.
I love Caledonia, the north west highlands to me are the most beautiful place on planet earth and I've traveled extensively.
I don't go climbing or in the snow and ice anymore as I have done in the past.
I don't mind it being cold and fresh though. I always go into the mountains fully prepared, map, compass, waterproofs etc. Just common sense things because anything can happen at any time.
I have done a lot of walking in Scotland but also enjoy the lakes, and the dales etc, doesn't have to be a long or high up walk, pleasurable and fun is what it's all about to me.
Would like to meet others to enjoy a good time out and about, not just on high peaks, any walk can be a good one, it's what you make of it. Finding a nice pub at the end is a bonus too.
I'm going up to the north west highlands from 15th June for two weeks and going to tackle Slioch, An Teallach, Stac Pollaidh, Suilven amongst others. Cape Wrath too.
Before that I hope to be up in the lakes most weekends depending on the weather.

My Message: Hi, I live in Perthshire and have spent many years walking the hills in Scotland and abroad both with friends and animals (dogs). I would love to meet up with new friends who would like to join me walking and enjoying nature and the hills at home or abroad. Initially would be looking medium paced walks and would love to have the company of a dog once more, so if you have a dog, even better!!! If what I have said appeals then please drop me a line and hopefully we can find some great walks together.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near Lincolnshire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I love walking, everything about it. What could be better than sitting down with a glass of wine and planning a walk.
Then there's the excitement of arriving at your walks starting point (usually a pub car park if it's a circular walk)
The anticipation as you lace up your boots and the adrenaline rush as you set off on your way. The endorphins kick in, you get warm, remove a layer ( i can never work out exactly the right clothes to walk in )
The scenery is beautiful, you catch a glimpse of a deer, a buzzard, a moth or a cowslip.
I often get lost ( Its not getting lost, its going on an adventure) i usually get muddy and sometimes i fall over.
Then there's the relief as your sore feet sense the end of the walk. A nice pint and a pack of crisps or nuts, maybe a meal by a fire.
These are all wonderful things, but so much more when shared with a like minded friend.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Beaconsfield hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I am looking for new friends to explore the UK with, as I've exhausted(literally !!) my current friends, many of whom prefer short walks. During this corona lockdown I've averaged 30 miles a week - better than baking any day. My job is cabin crew, often I have 3 days off during the week with the occasional weekend. I especially love coastal walks, but am good with any terrain, just happy to be walking. I'd like to do more multi day hikes, no problem camping or staying in BnBs. I've carried a big back pack but also had it transported. I've hiked the Anna Purna Circuit and part of he Camino de Santiago, always looking for new adventures.

I am interested in meeting male or female friends to go walking with, especially now the warmer weather is approaching (provided that this lockdown eventually ends). I am based in Lancashire however I can drive and have a car so I am willing to go further afield. My Message: Hi. I'm an easy-going romantic with a love of the countryside - high rugged areas, green and pleasant lands, peaceful valleys and windswept ridges. Not averse to a few home comforts, nice BandBs, concerts, cooking, camping if needs must. Working, but lots of spare weekdays and weekends, plenty of ideas of what I want to do more of - visits to the Highlands, Wales, and anywhere else that takes my fancy. It would be nice to share these good times with a like-minded, independent female. You will find me (I hope) considerate, good-humoured and honest.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Preston hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi,
Love walking anywhere and have done so for years on and off but my navigational skills are not good, need someone with more experience
and to make new friends along the way.
So if you are looking for good company than drop a line and see what comes up.

My Preferred Walk Grades*: 1:2:3:4:5:6:

My Preferred Walk Areas:
North East England; North West England; Yorkshire; The English Midlands; Wales;
(click each link to see other walkers wanting to walk there)

A bit more about me:

I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. Sadly, my map reading & navigation skills are pretty hopeless. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 40s, based near Oakham, Rutland hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi everyone, I would love to meet up with other people to walk - virtually anywhere. I particularly love hill-walking (Scotland, Lakes and Snowdonia my favourite) and have bagged some 3000fters, but am keen to walk anywhere. Friends and family are just not hikers. Even my dog is ageing so much that a short walk around the park will satisfy him (he stays at home/in the car when I walk).

I love camping, hiking in beautiful scenery, and would love some company. I have a car and am happy to travel, although of course if you are closer to me meeting up for a day hike will be easier. With a busy work schedule, I am generally a weekend walker but will take time off when I get a walking opportunity that is too good to miss.

My Preferred Walk Grades*: 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8:9:

My Preferred Walk Areas:
North West Scotland; North East Scotland; Southern Scotland; North East England; North West England; Yorkshire; The English Midlands; Wales; East Anglia; The Heart of England; South West England;

I like walking with dogs and will bring my own. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Peak Bagging - where the aim is to climb all the hills or mountains on a particular list such as 'bagging' all the Wainwrights or Munros;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Redcar hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I have enjoyed walking on and off since I was a child, and spent many years walking with my wife mainly in the Lake District and North York Moors and coast. Since I lost her just over two years ago, although I have an adult son and male friends who I walk with, and I sometimes enoy walking alone, I miss female company on my walks.
I'm often quiet with new people in social situations, but I promise I liven up once I get to know people. I really enjoy exploring and sharing my love of the countryside with others.
I am semi retired, though I do some voluntary work, but I can be flexible over walking days. I live very close to the NY Moors and within daily range of the Lake District. I also have a touring caravan and often spend longer periods in the Lakes and elsewhere.
I am a reasonably confident walker, though slow going up hill these days and I'm not very fit at the moment. I have a GPS, but am also a fairly confident map reader and have a good sense of direction. I have completed my Wainwrights, some I have walked many times, but am quite happy to repeat them or just to wander through some of the valleys or over the moors.
I also have an interest in history, and often try to find something of interest on my walks but at times I just enjoy the open and the peace and beauty I find there. If there's a tea room at the end of a walk, so much the better.
Please get in touch if you think we'd get along and would like to plan some walks.

When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it. I'm happy to walk in most weathers but do not like snow and ice. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Chesterfield hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hiya, I'm Lynn alias 'Miss Outdoorsy' as staying at home drives me up the walls! I like anything outdoors, love adventure & travel & my passion is mountains. I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Barnoldswick hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I'm a keen walker, now retired so have more time to get out and about. I walk quite regularly with friends but as they are still working this is confined largely to weekends. We've enjoyed tackling many of the long distance paths over the years. I walk a lot on my own too or, until very recently, with my dog who has now sadly passed away, but would like to meet a like-minded walking buddy, preferably reasonably nearby. It would be good perhaps to share some Wainwright bagging or explore new areas more or less anywhere in the British Isles or even beyond. There are so many places I still want to see and it would be great to do so in good company. I'd love to hear from you.
