I am a Male Walker, in my late 30s, based near Newport.

My Message: Hi, been walking fairly regularly for last year and looking for a people to go walking with (wife has subtalar fusion on ankle preventing long/uneven walks) and are interested in sharing the great outdoors, fresh air, having a chat and a laugh with.

I'm highly motivated and have a small group of people I go out with normally but as availability can sometimes be an issue it's always good to keep your horizons broadened and anyone is welcome on our tour as it's pretty socialist and democratic.

I can travel to just about anywhere if it's planned in advance but mainly stick to walks in south wales or neighbouring english counties, and also scotland when I go back there which is fairly regular and am fairly good with navigation and have transport.

If there are any questions - feel free to ask, I am open and honest, bordering on blunt at times.

Enjoy.

I am, I am afraid, a gentleman walker who perfers to stay in hotels or b&b rather than sleeping under canvas. I have done the Coast to Coast, West Highland Way, The Cleveland Way and loads of various long walks. I like to walk any distance be it short or long no matter the weather.... Dave

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Windermere.

My Message: Hi, I am Graeme, a 44 year old male from Windermere, looking for female walking partners of similar age, and a love of walking the Lake District fells as well as other areas. I am young at heart, resonably fit (like to think so anyway), and also enjoy running and open water swimming. Over recent years I have completed the C2C and the West Highland Way, nothing I like better than walking all day then setting up camp and relaxing with food & beer and beautiful scenery, would be nice to have someone to share it with, as my friends seem to prefer spending time in the pub. I am interested to hear from anyone of any ability, who would like to do some walking in the Lakes but I am also willing to travel to other areas. I am Interested in day walks, short walks, or long distance walks. I will be more than happy to show anyone around my part of the world should they wish to visit.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near Chester.

My Message: Hi,
I'm Graham, new to this site, but thought i'd give it a go!
I'm 47, and a farmer, which keeps me fit, and contrary to popular belief, we do get time off!! I have a million hobbies, but walking, and especially up in the hills and mountains of this beautiful country of ours is my passion.
Do have some walking friends, but most would rather sit infront of a TV, so looking for more like minded people, with the same passion, who love being on top of the roof of the world :)
Have hill walked everywhere, but have recently discovered Snowdonia, which is strange, as it's been on my doorstep most of my life, and i'm in love hehe.
If you fancy a good yomp up a mountain, some chat and some laughs... and maybe food and drink in a pub on the way home, then what are you waiting for, come and say hi :)

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Farnham.

My Message: Hi, I'm a 54 year old female based near Farnham, looking for male/female company for more regular walking in Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Dorest. Local walking groups are rather large and I prefer more one to one conversation, probably a faster pace too. I tend to use pre planned walks as I'm not the best map reader - happy to learn from an expert though! Available to walk at least every other weekend, and occasionally in the week, especially during summer months while the evenings are lighter. I'm reasonably fit (Gym and cycle) and happy to walk 8-10 miles or more. Love walking holidays uk or abroad, walked Hadrian's Wall two years ago. Would love to meet more liked minded people to share the beauty of uk countryside. Pub stops are equally important but I'm not adverse to the odd picnic! I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Cardiff.

My Message: Hello out there, my name is Mike, Iím aged 56 and three quarters, have my own teeth and many original fittings. Iím looking for someone to share walks of all kinds but especially in the hills. Iíve been a walker for over 40 years and despite some dodgy knees and a slipped disc I can still manage a long day out, enjoy some light scrambling and I can use a map and compass. I usually walk solo but would enjoy some company now and again and at the end of the day perhaps a pie and a pint, or a cassoulet and claret, or a toastie and a cup of tea. Hopefully a walking partner will encourage me to get out more than I manage at the moment. I work full-time but can manage an occasional week day as well as weekends. I will be in the Lake District (staying near Patterdale) from 20-27 May and the Highlands (in Glen Nevis) from 10-17 June if anyone can manage it; short notice I know.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Perth.

My Message: Hi, my name is Petra. I have a lively Springer Spaniel who needs his long walks every weekend (and shorter ones during the week). I work full time so weekends are when I can go out walking. I enjoy gentle walks (anything from about 4-8 miles) and can cope with a bit of a gradient. (I'm not a Muntro bagger!) It's also nice to have a wee picnic stop about half way and possibly a coffee stop as well!. I am looking for a like minded person who would like to join me walking at weekends. I don't mind travelling and staying in dog friendly B & B's or small hotels as that way you get to see more of the country. I also have my own tent with electric hook up etc for summer camping.
