My Message: I'm a 50 yr old lively (single/straight) female living 12 miles south of the Lake District. I just love being outdoors and don't mind hiking alone as I am a fairly experienced walker but it would be nice to have some company sometimes. My favourite kind of days are spent out on the fells followed by a pub lunch and a glass. As I am a nurse my shifts vary so I am not always available at the weekends but I usually manage to get out atleast 3-4 times a week. If you'd like to join me your most welcome?

I am a Female Walker, in my early 40s, based near Birmingham.

My Message: Hello there I seem to have ticked an awful lot of boxes where I would like to walk. Im not sure if it was meant to be areas where you would like to access in a weekend. If so I obviously wont be able to go to some of these (eg orkney!).
Anyway Im writing this as i hope to find more friends to go on walking trips with and maybe even walking holidays. Ive done walking hols abroad in the past but they have mainly been with companies like Exodus. I'd like to do my own trips with some like minded friends in the future.
But for now I'd just be happy to meet some people to do trips at the weekend with. Ive done quite a bit of walking with walking clubs in the past but I'd like to make it a bit more adventurous by going with friends and finding our own way.
Anyway I wont waffle on too much for now and hope to hear from someone!

My partner has his own interests which take him away most of the time. New to the site and looking to arrange regular walks at weekends and potentially walking holidays etc I have not been walking for a while, used to wander around the cairngorms as a youth but since moving to england I havent really had the time until now to do much. Im raring to go now though and need to get a few walks organised to ease myself back in gently. Not looking for anything too taxing to start with but hope to build up to do something more adventurous in due course

Forest walking has always been my favourite and am looking forward to exploring the options for that down here.. I am more than happy to travel anywhere really and to try any kind of walking in any environment.

My main reason for getting into walking is to get back to a good level of fitness, allied to that of course I love being in the outdoors and meeting new people.. hence the reason for joining up here

My Message: Hi, I am a cheerful, happy go lucky, adventurous guy who has always had a facination for the outdoors-walking, camping, caving etc and a love of travel. I am planning to walk some long distance paths such as the Lancashire Coastal Way, Ribble Way or discuss any path you are interested in. I intend to video the walk and it would be fantastic to meet someone who would enjoy sharing the challenge. Probably do the walk in stages over a period of time. I am a Male Walker, in my late 30s, based near Newport.

My Message: Hi, been walking fairly regularly for last year and looking for a people to go walking with (wife has subtalar fusion on ankle preventing long/uneven walks) and are interested in sharing the great outdoors, fresh air, having a chat and a laugh with.

I'm highly motivated and have a small group of people I go out with normally but as availability can sometimes be an issue it's always good to keep your horizons broadened and anyone is welcome on our tour as it's pretty socialist and democratic.

I can travel to just about anywhere if it's planned in advance but mainly stick to walks in south wales or neighbouring english counties, and also scotland when I go back there which is fairly regular and am fairly good with navigation and have transport.

If there are any questions - feel free to ask, I am open and honest, bordering on blunt at times.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Hartlepool.

My Message: Having recently retired from the Armed Forces I'm keen to find new friends who are interested in the more 'extreme' and 'difficult' hikes throughout the UK. Obviously being a bloke I'd enjoy the company of a fit and experienced female, but actually would prefer anyone who enjoys the wild outdoors and being way off the beaten track. I prefer extended hikes and spending time under the stars. I have all the requisite gear, GPS tech tent, maps, rations, EPIRB, etc etc. I also have over twenty years military experience so I'm used to 'roughing it'.

My Message: Hi, I am Graeme, a 44 year old male from Windermere, looking for female walking partners of similar age, and a love of walking the Lake District fells as well as other areas. I am young at heart, resonably fit (like to think so anyway), and also enjoy running and open water swimming. Over recent years I have completed the C2C and the West Highland Way, nothing I like better than walking all day then setting up camp and relaxing with food & beer and beautiful scenery, would be nice to have someone to share it with, as my friends seem to prefer spending time in the pub. My Message: Keen experienced walker. Enjoy taking my and others children for walks, especially weekend 2/3 day trips between places - YHA or low cost hotel in winter, wild camping summer / autumn.

Didn't occur to me to ask for adult company till I saw this site; but would be great (with or without my and/or your children). Enjoy doing the mountain guide bit if somewhere I'm familliar with, or happy to just bash along enjoying the scenery. Good at making / adapting plans to conditions - enjoyed getting over some high hills in the Lakes with the wind behind us on a couple of trips this winter.
