I am a Male Walker, in my early 70s, based near Ledbury.

My Message: Hi,
I'm Colin, and there is so much of the three counties (Hereford / Worcester / Glos) countryside waiting to be found and savoured, that I just know that without a companion to set some days with, they'll remain unexplored.
So I'm relying on some like minded soul to help me to rescue my best intentions and enjoy a gentle countryside walk or even a ramble over the Beacons.
And me?
Well, I continue to work in the forest world and won't see 70 again, but this is no deterrent as I keep fit by cycling, playing tennis & badminton plus a enjoyment of orienteering. My ever (mostly) patient wife of some 37 years sadly does not share my enthusiasm for stretching the joints, but is quite relaxed about finding a companion - a situation which has worked well in the past.
Keeping my fingers x'ed......

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Hebden Bridge.

My Message: Hi there. Recently really started to enjoy walking, trying to do the 1000 mile challenge this year, phew !
Walk with my labrador and so far we have done 1/2 of the pennine way ( I live 200 yards off it ). Just doing day walks, cant be bothered with camping as I'd have take about 5 kilos of dog food as well.
We're off to Middleton in Teesdale during June to try and add more miles conquered on the Way. Looking for someone to share day walks all over the place really, between 6 and 15 miles are our norm. Have tried a couple of walking groups, but think I may have been unlucky as they all seemed very retentive ( if you get my meaning) about their walks. I just want to enjoy the views, the countryside, take lots of photos and see new places. So if you're anywhere near Hebden Bridge then please get in touch. Many thanks for looking.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 70s, based near Barrow-in-furness.

My Message: Hello
I am looking for walking companions for walks fairly local to me.... Cumbria and Lancashire.... quite willing to travel further if I find a walking companion who travels at the same speed as I do!!!! Would love to do a longer walk at a slow pace.. stopping at places of interest... but hey I am getting ahead of myself.
Can only manage 5-6 miles these days have done 10 this year but really too much and I suffer the next day.
My walks are more enjoyable if done at pace where the scenery can be enjoyed and a route march is not a necessity. Can do hills but only with poles and it takes me a while to get down again.....
So if you feel that you could put up with me on your walks please contact me....
Updated as I have had knee surgery at the end of last year.....still do 5 miles and still love to get out on the low fells...or seeing interesting places - like Malham cove...
Regards
Lilian

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Huddersfield.

My Message: Hi
My name's Kate and I'm really interested in improving my walking skills and seeing and enjoying much more of the outdoors, both at weekends and also when I'm free mostly at weekends but sometimes during the week. I'd really like to try new walks and challenges, beginning in the places I've mentioned. I would enjoy some company for this and to maybe have time to have a drink/coffee and chat with, at the end of a walk. I am very interested in meeting people to walk with who might introduce me to new walks, but in a low key, not too serious way. I hope to find folk who want to try regular outings for fun and adventure and to take in as much scenery as possible. Please get in touch if any of this this resonates with you. I shall look forward to hearing from you. Kate

I am looking for male/female friends to walk with on weekends and weekdays, even holidays, I have my caravan so like to get out and about when possible. I want to improve my distance and field of vision i. e. more interesting places to walk. I do like to take my dog so if there is no livestock around its better. I am single with a good sense of adventure and humour. A stop at the pub en route or at the end is perfect. Looking forward to getting out there.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Harrogate.

My Message: Hi, I'm Richard, 35, single and living in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. I enjoy getting out into the countryside for walks, especially the nearby Yorkshire Dales and my favourite part of the country the Lake District. I enjoy photography and always have my camera out on my walks. I enjoy both short walks with a country pub to end, or longer more challenging walks with a peak or two or three! I've recently decided to complete the 214 Wainwrights, but am looking to do the best walks rather than just the quickest routes. Would be up for some camping as well, now that spring is arriving. It would be nice to meet like minded people, especially any females looking for a walking partner.

Having recently retired I am looking to do more walking, and as I love the areas around where I live, a walk is always a good excuse for a day out!! I am looking for someone to enjoy these walks with me, and perhaps share some good company too.

I consider myself fit and healthy and happy to walk near or far. Like to discover new places to walk.

My Message: Hi, I live in Devizes in Wiltshire. I'm not thinking of "route marches" here, just pleasant walks and chats, time to look at the surroundings, maybe ending up at a nice pub for lunch! I'm pretty easy going and happy to meet males or females to enjoy walking with. I work Mon to Fri but free evenings, weekends and holidays. I love natural history, the coast, hills, woodlands..

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 20s, based near Neston.

My Message: Hi I'm Ross, I'm 29 and based on the Wirral.

I get out walking most weeks (mainly weekdays) and mainly in Snowdonia or The Peak District currently but interested in venturing further afield to The Lake District when time allows. I'm looking for someone to share this great hobby and my experiences with (male or female) and for a bit of company on the hills/mountains. I'm happy with any sort of level, however tend to go a bit mad some days and leave myself a bit fragile for a few days afterwards. Like to bag a few peaks and summits on my days out rather than rack up distance.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Southampton.

My Message: Retired with plenty of time and passion to be out walking. Sadly the climbs of the SWCP have taken my knees beyond endurance so now I stick to almost flat walks. Can do up to 25K a day taking in the sights and sounds of nature en route so no route march. Focusing on British Canals and their towpaths, having started the Kennet and Avon walking west, Reading to Thatcham so far. Utilising train and bus from hotel or B & B. Also happy to walk in Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey, Berkshire, Oxfordshire avoiding serious descents. Sharing any walk in conversation and shared love of flora and fauna with tea or pub included would be more fun! Long term, finding a fellow walker of either sex who'd have the time and means to roam England, Wales, France, Netherlands, Italy etc with me is also on the agenda.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Newby Bridge.

My Message: I am spending every weekend and holidays in Newby Bridge as I love walking in the Fells. Did Fairfield Horseshoe in snow on Saturday 25th March in sunshine.... wonderful! Red Screes on 27th March - again in snow. Looking for walking friends ideally both sexes! Hardly any of my friends have time or interest in the hills so I have been hanging out with Lake District Walkers when no friends around. Am upbeat, enthusiastic and don't take myself seriously. It is all so lovely and I would love to have male and female friends to share the joy of fell walking.

I did Ill Bell and Foswick on Saturday 8th April. Afterwards sat in Troutbeck church yard amongst all the daffodils looking at the ridge I had just climbed. What a beautiful spot!

Am so impressed with what I have on my doorstep. Gummers How gives fab 360 degree views of fells and estuary. There's two easy local walks at Cartmel Fell and High dam which are beautiful and good for friends who like views and little fells!

There's something for everyone here!

I also love Wansfell when you've just couple of hours to spare. Still to do Loughrigg Fell and so much more!

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Muir Of Ord.

My Message: Hello my name is Sue and I live in the highlands. I'm looking for walking friend/s to enjoy the fabulous scenery! I've not done much serious walking for a few years as have been into triathlon and lately cycling. Now I feel it's a good time to get back to walking, either long or short but am a bit wary of ridges! My other interests are gardening (because I've got one) theatre, cinema, good food, travel and my dog. Just to mention a few! I'm retired so have time to go off whenever I feel like it, why don't you join me? Thanks for reading.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Nantwich.

My Message: Hi everyone. My name is Andrew and I am 51 years old and live in Nantwich. I am new to this site, however, I have been interested in walking since I was able to walk. I have done a few challenges in my life like walking across Scotland in a week from East to West, the Welsh 3000s, walked around the Lake District but nothing else. I am not afraid of going up the hills or down in the valley, its going for a walk in the great outdoors. I would be interested in joining up with someone to enjoy the walks and if the dogs come too then a bonus, so who is out there? Are you interested? I look forward to hearing from anyone who would like to know more.

My Message: Hello 58 year old single man seeks female companion for walks, exploring and good pub lunches/dinners. Medium fitness level 5 - 8 miles is enough with plenty of time to stand and stare. I have reasonable map skills and good supply of O/S maps. I live in Pembrokeshire and my job is shift based that offers a good deal of time off at varying times of the week, I am mobile and will travel to other areas and am able to offer accommodation in my 4 bed house. I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near London.

My Message: Hi, male walker 68 from the London area. Like walking in Derbyshire as a preference as it is an easy drive from London but Yorkshire is good as are the Brecons. I normally camp as I have a 3 1/2 year old black Labrador so BandBs are not always an option. Have done the likes of Hadrian's Wall, Yorkshire 3 peaks, North Downs and the Brecons in the past but 10/15 miles a day are enough nowadays, especially with the dog. Will be visiting Derbyshire in May and normally stay in Hope and would not mind finding a companion to spend a day or so with. Sorry, but not sure how to attach a photo!!
