I am a Female Walker, in my late 60s, based near Taunton.

My Message: I now live in Somerset, have recently acquired a rescue Labrador and am looking for a walking and talking companion. I am a fit, young 68 year old and, whilst I confess to not being an experienced walker I would love to take it up on a regular basis.
I am extremely well travelled worldwide, many years in the travel and hospitality industries, have lived abroad for most of my life (am fluent in French, German and Spanish now rusty). However, there are parts of the U. K. that are foreign to me and I would love to change that. If you are up for the challenge, do get in touch.

My Message: Hi. I'm 59 married and live in chelmsford essex I'm looking to meet women for company as walking alone g can be quiet boring. I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Shoreham By Sea.

My Message: Hello I am currently walking sections of the South West Coast path. I have walked from Poole to Hartland Quay so far. 514 miles down and 116 miles to go. I am walking for four days from the 28th July from Hartland Quay to Barnstaple. A good mix of four days walking. I am walking 3 days with another member of this site but the more the merrier. I am particularly keen to find someone to walk on Monday 31st July from Clovelly to Hartland Quay as there are only a few buses and two cars would be good as I am walking on my own that day. Please get in contact if you would like to join me. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Lowestoft.

My Message: Hello,
My name is Matt and I'm looking for hiking buddies.
I'm originally from Essex but moved to Lowestoft last year. I spent 5 years in Australia as an expedition leader and outdoor ed instructor. I have a massive passion for anything outdoorsy.
I enjoy longer hikes and love to wild camp. I'm looking to do the 3 peaks at some point but also very open to any other idea's.
since moving to Lowestoft I have been walking on my own. As much as the solitude is sometimes nice, I would much prefer a bit of company and banter.
Thanks for reading my add.
Happy hiking

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Milnthorpe.

My Message: Hi
Born and brought up in Cumbria. Back again after many years away. Travelled widely. USA, Asia, Europe. Climbed a few foreign hills as well as most in Cumbria. Now getting to know Wales and Scotland, while catching up with friends and fellow walkers. Really love the hills and mountains anywhere, but Cumbria and Dales are very local to me.

Had my ML assessment in April so raring to go!

Love to 'talk and walk' so good companion also essential and someone who is not too worried if I stop to take photos.

Reasonably read, literate, enjoy the arts and eco-friendly, if you think you would enjoy my company would love to hear from you.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Ribchester.

My Message: Hi, Lesley here,
I'm out walking again after a major operation. I'm building up my stamina and am able to walk up to 14miles at present. I've previously walked all the Lake District summits, extensively in Snowdonia and Scotland and in my own neck of the woods, The Forest of Bowland as well as abroad. I've booked 2 walking holidays for later this summer. One to Exmoor, along the Devon coast and the other to the Derbyshire dales. I love being outdoors and although I love sunshine I'll walk in any weather if the mood takes me. I particularly love coast and ridge walking but rivers and woodlands are beautiful too.
I'm interested in wildlife and nature, family and friends, art and architecture, yoga and music. I cycle too!
I took early retirement from advisory teaching 2 years ago to project manage a property restoration.
Love to hear from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Stoke On Trent.

My Message: Prefer to walk in smaller than larger groups, so looking to make acquaintance of both Men and Women as walk companions. Have very recently walked 16+ miles around Wenlock Edge in Shropshire, but happier generally with around 10 to 12 miles. Part-retired and only work 3 days a week now (the one consolation of getting older I have found) so available Thursday to Sunday. Have my own car. Preferred walking areas/counties are just the most accessible from where I live in Stoke on Trent, but open to other venues which might need an overnight stop or a weekend away

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Shaftesbury.

My Message: Hi, I'm married to a lovely man, but he doesn't like walking. I have set myself the target of walking the SW Coastal Path, and have completed the first 70 or so miles from Minehead, alone, but would much prefer to be with other(s), from a safety point of view and generally having company. I like to do 8-13 miles a day, and enjoy the occasional cuppa along the way/something stronger on completion maybe. I think I'm easy going, pretty bad at map reading (attending a course soon), have a sense of humour and enjoy a bit of a challenge. In the future, I would like to do many other National Trails, and am happy to find accommodation for longer stints away. My puppy may want to join in at some point, so would prefer a dog lover, but that's not a deal-breaker. Would be delighted to be contacted by men or women of any age and enjoy a pace of 2. 5-3. 5 miles per hour, according to terrain.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Sherborne.

My Message: Hi, I'm Paul and I'm aiming to walk the South West Coast Path in bite size sections over the next few years - already done a few sections in Dorset and Devon. Many years ago I used to be able to do up to 25 miles a day (pre Peru trek training!) but now seem to have been pegged back to 8-10 miles; hoping to improve this.

Looking for interesting people to walk with (be it someone who wants to walk the whole path or just someone who is happy to join me as and when); ideally someone who can walk at a moderate pace (I'm 6 foot with a reasonably long stride) and who also enjoys a drink/light meal midway or at the end.

Work is flexible so can do weekday and weekend (primarily Sunday) walks; maybe the odd overnight stop. I have a partner who pursues her own sporting interests (horse riding). I don't always have access to transport but am reasonably well located to use trains and buses.

UPDATE May 2017 : Doing the Macmillan Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike 8th June!

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Barnoldswick.

My Message: Hi, I'm new to the site, love walking of course, and now I'm retired I have a lot more time to get out and about. I walk quite regularly with friends but as they are all still at work this is confined largely to weekends. We've enjoyed tackling many of the long distance paths, in sections, over the years. I walk a lot on my own too or with my dog but would like to meet a like-minded male walking buddy, preferably reasonably nearby. It would be good perhaps to share some Wainwright bagging or explore new areas more or less anywhere in the British Isles or even beyond. There are so many places I still want to see and it would be great to do so in good company. If this sounds of interest I'd love to hear from you.
