My Message: I am a lifelong walker and currently average about 5 walks per week, anything between 5 and 15 miles around and about Aylesbury Vale.In the past I have completed several long distance walks for charity including Coast to Coast and the Macmillan Way.Ideally looking for a male buddy in my area, however will be looking to travel down to the Test Valley area for the day to do some walking round Jane Austen country and Watership Down, if anyone in that area is interested. Also would like to go camping in the New Forest for a couple of days and do some walking there. Initially would be great to find someone who would like to join me for a tramp around the Bucks countryside. As for hobbies I'm interested in Astronomy, reading and Art.I'm free all day Monday to Friday.If you're interested please get in touch!

A bit more about me:

I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 40s, based near Preston hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi,
I'm Catherine, 42 from Preston. I have done quite a lot of walking, mainly in the Lakes and North Wales but other areas too.I would like to do more in Scotland. I have also done some treks abroad. I have previously walked a lot with my parents but they are getting past the long and high stuff now. Also I met a great walking partner on here about 10 years ago but she has moved abroad for work! I'm now struggling to get out walking as I don't want to go by myself. I love anything outdoors, pretty much any weather. I love camping and a good pint after a walk. I'm looking for people in 30's/40's who would like to go on day walks to begin with to see how we get on. Anyway, drop me a line if you'd like to make contact and get out walking. Thanks

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Bath hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I love walking and want people to go walking and to socialise with. If we can get a good weather day and a view, all the better. I'd be happy to meet up with men or women for a day's walk, anytime soon. Also happy to join a group walk. At least it's something we can still do at this time.
I've walked the whole of the SWCP, circuit of the Isle of Wight, the South Downs Way and the Cotswold Way. I love walking in the Lake District and would love to do the Coast to Coast. Am also trying to the Wessex Ridgeway in single day trips from home. But I also love a blow on the Marlborough Downs or just an amble along the canal. Tea or a pub meal at the end is a bonus.
I'm retired and don't have any regular commitments except Wednesday evenings at the moment. I play tennis but don't want to appear super fit, just normal for a walker in her 60's! Am happy to travel to meet up with someone and hope it might be you.

My Message: Hi! I have enjoyed hill walking since my childhood - It gives me a sense of freedom, space and challenge. I feel that it helps me refuel my inner strength to deal with anything during the working week. I moved up to Bishop Auckland in 2010 because of my love of the scenery. More recently I've completed the Dales Way, WHW, Great Glen Way, Dava Way,C2C,Offa's Dyke Path & Isaac's Tea Trail and hoped to complete Hadrian's Wall Path 2020 but didn't!!. I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Bath hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: My name is Steve and I am in my mid 60's. I lost my wife very suddenly last year and that has left a very big hole in my life. We always walked together rather than in a group and now that the lockdown is starting to ease I would like to get out again but it is not much fun by yourself.
Ideally I would like to find a widow / widower in a similar situation to myself and develop a friendship / mutual support with some social activities such as pub lunches as well as walking.
I would class myself as a 'general' walker who would average 8 or 9 miles per day but could do more, like to stop for a sit down and take in the views. Not particularly in to peaks and long distance paths but having said that we had completed over 75% of the SW Coast Path.
I live in Bath and am really looking to walk in the Mendip and South Cotswold area although have done a fair bit on the Quantocks and Exmoor in the past.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Cannock hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello. I'm Maria. I moved to Cannock Nov 2019 and it would be great to meet another female that I can go walking with. I live near Cannock Chase which is lovely for walks but would be even better with some female company. Because of Covid, it has been difficult to meet new people and make female friends with the same interests. My level of fitness is fairly good. I walk most days 2.5 miles on my own but I am happy rambling for up to 5 or 6 miles or more. I am friendly, easy going and have a good sense of humour. I'm positive but also a realist. I love animals, nature and music as well as TV and films. I love being outdoors in all weather. I can meet up evenings and weekends as I work 9 to 5 Mon to Fri. I must tell you that I'm not much of an early bird, so if meeting at weekends it would need to be after 10am. I dont drive but happy to get public transport to meet up if its local but I can be flexible. I do have a partner who drives and would be happy to drop me at a meeting point.

My Message: Hi I am Rog looking for a lady to join me on walks in the countryside. My passion is wildlife and walks any ware in the countryside or along the coast. My other passion is out on my bike places like the Llyn Brenig the Alwen Reservoir and a nice picnic, not into road cycling. My Wife was sadly taken from me two years ago and has left a big hole in my life. We were both volunteers at a local nature reserve and that played a big part in our lives. I now feel that I need to get out there and get back walking. We have done 13 of the 14 3,000ft peaks in the Snowdon area and the Highest mountains in all four countries of the UK, and lots more peaks in the lakes. But I now have to keep to the lower ones now.I would like to meet someone that is like minded and join me on some outings. I have no ties have my own home and car and am free when I want want to be

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Rugby hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi! I'm Andy. Having recently taken early retirement I want to spend as much time as possible walking and exploring our beautiful country (and abroad, when we're allowed!), something I didn't have enough time to do when I was working. I often walk alone, but it would be good to have company sometimes, especially on trips further afield and multiday walks. I go walking midweek (Monday to Thursday) which might fit your schedule if you work shifts or at weekends.

A perfect walk for me is one where you can constantly look around in awe at fantastic scenery, so I tend to gravitate towards hillwalking, mountains and coasts. I am reasonably fit and may walk up to 13 miles in a day, but I always look at the quality of the walk rather than the length, so often walk shorter distances. A perfect walk should also have some food and a couple of beers built in, either during or afterwards (preferably both!)

My day-walking in the past few years has been in the Peak District and The Cotswolds, as they are fairly local to me, but with longer trips to Snowdonia and Scotland. However, I am a confident navigator and am looking forward to exploring other areas of the country. I am a fan of staying in nice pubs with rooms when away from home for a night or two.

A bit more about me:

When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it. I prefer warm, dry & sunny weather but can cope with the odd shower. Sorry, but I really do not like walking with Dogs. Even if I say so myself, I consider my map reading & navigation skills to be excellent. I can drive and have a car.

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Liverpool hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi my name is Lee and I live Liverpool.
I have decided to update this message as I have walked quite a few routes now thanks to a very good mate Tom who I met through the site. For me as much as I love walking but I also love admiring the view, maybe sneak in a little bit of rest while having a rest.
I do have friends but they are really not interested in the idea of walking, not sure why.

The downside is I dont drive so would need to be able to get to the walks via public transport. So if I can get there via a train it's ideal.

If you are interested in helping me out, I am more than happy to pay my way :-)

My Preferred Walk Grades*: 1:2:3:4:5:6:

My Preferred Walk Areas:
Southern Scotland; North East England; North West England; Yorkshire; The English Midlands; Wales;

A bit more about me:

I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. If pushed, I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are rather poor at best. I don't drive.

I am also interested in:

  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near London hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi I am looking to return to walking after lockdown. I'm more of an ambler than a rambler these days but can happily walk all day. 2019 I walked most of The Thames Path only having 23 miles left to go at time of writing. I like to take photographs and take in a view so for me its more about the journey than sprinting to the destination. I am very easy going and laid back and like to treat people how I like to be treated which is with courtesy, kindness, dignity and respect. I have a sense of humour, love to laugh and enjoy a good conversation whilst walking. Id like to meet some for walks 6 to 12 miles in duration in the Home Counties and East Anglia to begin with to get fit again and get back to walking longer distances.

A bit more about me:

I really don't like Scrambling & Edges - they are defintely not for me. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • General Day Walking

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Cambridgeshire hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I live in Cambridgeshire and have a deep love for walking and hiking. The last long distance l did was Glen Affic in Scotland. However, l like short walks as much as long hikes and to enjoy my walk, stopping to take in the scenery and enjoying a good chat or just appreciating the silence together.
My schedule is quite free so l can do a mixture of week days and weekends. I also drive, so travelling is no problem.
By nature l am a bubbly, outgoing person with an introvert side. Looking to make some new female walking buddies. I look forward to hearing from you.

My name is Matt and I'm looking for hiking buddies.
I'm originally from Essex but moved to Lowestoft last year. I spent 5 years in Australia as an expedition leader and outdoor ed instructor. I have a massive passion for anything outdoorsy.
I enjoy longer hikes and love to wild camp. I'm looking to do the 3 peaks at some point but also very open to any other idea's.
since moving to Lowestoft I have been walking on my own. As much as the solitude is sometimes nice, I would much prefer a bit of company and banter.
Thanks for reading my add.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Preston hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Busy training for this years Lakeland Mighty Hike 26 miles around Ullswater followed by the West Highland Way in July. Been hiking in various areas but the lake District is an hour from me and its quite familiar to me. Lockdown shielding compounded everything for months and months on end. None of us know what lies ahead. I'm choosing to live my life the best I can in the great outdoors Anybody fancy the coast to coast next year ?? X

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Doncaster hoping to meet just Male new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I love the outdoors and recently bought all the kit and caboodle to go wild camping but fear crept in and decided not to go alone just yet.. I'll give most things a go and love trying new things. I'd love to find someone to hike and maybe wild camp. I'd not say no to exploring more urban locations too. We've lost so much time this last year, we have lots to catch up with!
